I went to Walmart to grab some groceries, now you have to drive around sort of a bypass type road, where the factory is and the big trucks.
Most people go down this road to by pass the lights, and traffic.
So I am driving, and see an ambulance coming, lights and siren. I pull over and stop. At least 10 cars going either way, just kept doing 80 kms an hour, and just like they didnt even see it.
The ambulance had to swurve in and out of traffic (mind you we dont have much here). All because these rude ignorenent people wouldnt move out of the way.
Now they can be charged for not pulling over but how many ambulances, or firetrucks have that time.
I thought and these are most likely the people screaming at the dispatchers when something goes wrong and they need the help.
My friend never moves over, if I am with her she will because she says she doesnt want to listen to me screaming at her to pull out of the way. But I told her when she is in need of help she will be the first to complain. Think if that was her family member, her, or so on she would expect it.

I hate that as well. we dont have lawa against it here in Mexico. So these idiots dont care. Bet they would if it was their loved ones waiting for those people to arrive to help them. How was your day there??

I think that is so horrible that someone would purposefully not move over. I mean unless they were deaf and didnt look in the rear view mirror there is no excuse for that. Ambulances need to rush by to help in an emergency if they cannot get through because people wont pull over someone could die before the ambulance gets there and it would be all because people were to ignorant to get out of their way.

A small part of the problem is just not hearing the sirens because the stereo is too loud. And sometimes there's just no where to pull over to. But you're right, mostly it's just ignorance.

If they can't see or hear emergency vehicles approaching from any direction,it's time to rip up their License or go for a retest, cos they shouldn't be on the road while paying so little attention to what's going on around them..

I have noticed that there certainly are a lot of people that don't move to the right side of the road when there is an emergency vehicle coming through. For me, I always pull as far to the right hand side of the road when there is an emergency vehicle coming through.
My thought that is that yes, it is the law that you are supposed to pull to the right when an emergency vehicle is coming through, even more important than that, I always have to think, "What if this was my family that was having an emergency?" If it was my family having an emergency, I would definitely want the emergency personel to get to us as quickly as possible.

That really annoys me too, I always think what if that was my loved on in there? Wouldn't I want people to move out of the way!? Of course I would! I think more people should think about that, what if it was someone you love dying in there. I bet they would move out of the way if they thought about it like that...
But selfish people will most likely always be selfish people.

I see it all the time here that people don't pull over for emergency vehicles. I can understand on the highway you don't have to because there's 2 lanes but in towns and stuff it's considerate that you do. Now you even have to go in the other lane to pass tow trucks and if you don't you could get fined too. I see alot of people not doing this as well.

well at least you have some manners, i cant believe allmthose people did that
i always stop and pull over when i hear a siren and im glad they made it a law for everyone's saftey... i use to work for a ambulance service before 911 .. yes im old lol i was a dispatcher and iknow alot about the ems serivice i also took and emt class and my first husband was a fire fighter / paramatic and i know that when you dont pull over for them not only are you indangering your life and theres but the patients who called or needed the help.. and when its an emergence time is everything... and someone could die.. so i always get out of the way.. just as common courtsey.
