Hello Tushavi!
I know a few people who still buy calendars. I don't get them for me personally and if I had one, I wouldn't use it only because I write everything down on a piece of paper and put it on my computer desk or somewhere where I would check often so I wont forget.
Even though we have other devices to help keep us reminded of events, calendars can look very nice hanging up on a wall because of the photos it has for each month.
Happy MyLotting.

I think that people should still buy paper caldenders because even if you have an electronic one there might be problem and you have everything erased from your drive. If you have a backup paper calender you will be on the safe side and will have everything you need. This especiallyu for things like agendas to make appointments and everything.
Everything is based on tecnology but we need to be careful cuz tecnology isnt as reliable as we think it is.

No, I don't buy paper calendars but I do get mine from groceries, stores and companies that I deal with. It is still important for us. We hung paper calendars in our small office, bedroom and other areas of our house. Checking the date is easier for me seeing it in a paper than in computers or in our mobile phone.

It is reported in my country that the paper calender sales this year has been down by as much as 30%. I think the younger generation is counting more and more on their electronic apparatus to keep their diary and use the calender function. Paper calender is going to be used lesser in future.

I just use the paper calender as decoration on the wall, but some time I need it very much, the importance of these kind of things are still there.

Hi Tushavi, my hubby dislikes looking at pc and mobile calenders, whereas his elder sister completely doesn't have any interest owning these two devices. They love solely paper calender. We don't have to buy paper calender. Some of the shops here will give free paper calender to their regular customers We usually will get free calenders from the vegetarian food restaurant as well as the nearby grocery that we always visit
Happy posting

Yes, my wife buys me a paper calendar every New Year. Usually one that has different breeds of horses on from all over the world. It is quite a large one that I hang up in my home office and I enjoy seeing the different types of horses that have been professionally photographed. _Derek

In our country, it is our costume every end of the year, during Christmas business establishment or company give paper calendars to their customers or clients. No need for us to buy paper calendar. All calendars are free and give you as a gift.

Paper calenders are available at bookstores. There are probably other places that sell them, but I see them more at bookstores.

That is pretty interesting. I wonder if many people use paper calendars anymore nowadays with everyone carrying their cell phones around with them. I personally still use paper calendars in my home. I would hang around 3 in my home so that I can see what day it is and what stuff I have to do on certain days. I don't really pay for my calendars. I just get them from a bank or from a friend for free anyway.

Yes,I like having a paper calendar on the wall.I find it much easier to make note of an appointment,or something to do,ob a calendar that is hanging on a wall in the kitchen,or the office, and I see every time I pass by.And since I like puppies and kittens, I have one in the kirchen with puppies, and one with baby animals in the office.

Yes,I still like to buy paper calenders.Even now I am in search of a calender with a picture of ShriRam Darbar on it.Our festivals are held on particular tithis, the days of the months.I can know when a particular tithi falls only with the help of paper calenders. Now I have only two or three calenders, but they are of the last year. One of the shopkeepers has promised to give me a calender of this year.

Yes!there are a lot of commercialized calendars that are sold in the sidewalks and
some shopping malls. For myself,I do not need to buy such calendars because I have a lot of friends who just gave me one commercial calendar from where he was employed ,or it might be his own business. Here in the Philippines, people are still fan of using paper calendars, and a matter of fact is that most businesses here produced their own calendars to be given to their buyers and friends. The calendars here depends on the style they wanted it to be.There are just simple calendars with big or small printings, some are glossy paper with views, beautiful women, artists, movie stars, flowers, fruits, breads, saints.

I have not used the conventional form of calendar for quite a few years now.
I use the mobile phone calendar to remind me of repeat event that occur every month or fortnightly and the calendar in Microsoft Outlook for reference if checking dates for holidays etcetera.
The majority of the time, for such things as a record of bank holidays or dates that I have booked as a holiday, I record everything in a Microsoft Excel calendar that I have. My Excel calendar is configured to be reset for any year from 1900 to 2100, so it will certainly last me for my lifetime. I also have a couple of boxes at the side of the main calendar that I use to record "Special Days" or My Holidays", along with conditional formatting to transfer background colour to the calendar to highlight the events.

I have a device on my PC called a Mini-Minder, a free reminder device that is very handy. But I also keep a paper calendar. When you think about how fragile the internet and electronic devices are it's scary. A power outage, cell phone towers that malfunction or, God forbid, and EMP detonated over a country can interrupt or destroy our electronics. Then where will we be? Many younger people don't know how to keep paper records or access them. They will be lost without their electronic devices and many can't even do simple addition or multiplication.
That's why I keep a paper calendar with all the birthdays and events I want to remember and all my appointments written down. I can see on one paper everything I have to do for the month instead of paging through an electronic device. To me, paper is more convenient and safe from loss. Plus, they have pretty pictures to cheer up the room each month. And I get them for free from the charities I contribute to.

I still use those calendars hanging on walls, desk calendars and pocket calendars. I know that the calendar is available from our mobile phones, but I still feel comfortable using the conventional one.
