I am an aspiring writer... and our bi-annual comics convention is coming but until now, i don't have any idea on what story should i write... of course, i like it to be a love story with a touch of family, friendship, slice of life genre and a little bit of comedy and drama but the major problem is the love thrill factor that i couldn't think if what it is.... i want the story to have a lesson but all that i thought was already used...
hey, friends, could you please help me? atleast an interesting or rare or ironic ideas???
it will help me a lot, thanks

Rare ideas are not synonymous with successful stories. I'm getting my masters in Creative Writing/Literature and it's not about original ideas, in fact, many classics are based on simple over-used formulas: love triangles, boy meets girl, boy loses girl, etc. The true talent lies in succinct prose, minimal exposition and a keen observational eye for unique detail of your stories characters and setting.

A writer can have the wide range of imagination. You can have a perfect love story to foretell to your target readers. Even if you don't have any experience of being madly in love. They will feel the inner thoughts of yours; take time to have the greatest story.

The best writing comes from personal experience but you can try and get inspiration from others around you . You can write about love based on couples you see around you .

Thanks a ton for sharing this discussion. Well that is the essence of a writer and i think being an aspiring writer u do not have to have personal experiences every time to pen down. But it would be helpful if u have experiences before. Well if u could add something spicy in your writing and if u leave a question mark or a suspense in the end then the writers would be desperate to know the ending of a story and that would give u a scope to enlarge your writing.
What say?

it's true, having experience will help a lot... the major reason why it's really hard for me to make new story now is because i can't think of a scene that will readers say "oh, that's it" or "i didn't think of that" something like that.. a suspense or thrill thing or something unexpected....
before, when i wrote a story, i know the beginning, middle, and last of my scenario.. just a little bit details and that's it, i have a story that have my own touch.. but now.. errr... i don't know what's happening...

I love writing stories, especially love stories... Mostly, I write stories out of my imagination. Sometimes from the people surrounding me... Well, why don't you talk to some people you know about their own love story, you might find an interesting one and will put it into writing...

I cannot really help you now, but remember that your story should not be too predictable. There should be a great ending that was never suspected. I will hold thumbs that the creative juices will soon flow!
