I like playing online strategy games where you start at zero then start building and growing your empire. in these games you get to interact with other people while keeping yourself away from boredom. It usually take hours to upgrade something, so I visit it once in a while when I need a break from my work. anyway, just like most online games you can level up a lot faster when you buy credits and I have noticed that some serious players really spend money to get this advantage. I think it's a waste of money. How bout you? Would you consider paying for online game credits?

One of room mate, colleagues and friend while we was working in Saudi Arabia, he was too addict with online games. He spent more money every month to level up his game position. This concept of online earnings can motivate a gamers to spend money without knowing that it is waste of time and money. I advice him to stop it because of the tendency he will be more addicted and lost lot of funds.

I do occasionally, when I have money to spare. I liken it to spending $5-$10 on going out to eat alone one afternoon or going to the movies.. Something special, not to be done often. A little treat to myself, if you will!

Yes I did pay for a online game which I had played more than 4 years, and I think the money is the secondly problem, the biggest problem is that that game waste a lot of my time, and if I willing to use those time to do other meaningful thing I think I have make a certain achievement. So I decided to give up this game eventually in last year.

this is why i choose games that are not "hands on" it does take a lot of time when you are too involved in a game. I only play to ease boredom.

I really don't want to spend my money in online games or in any other kinds of games. My purpose in playing online games is for wasting my time and having fun also. I do it every summer or when there is a semester break. Have a nice day and happy mylotting! :)

I would never consider paying for online games. Never. I would definitey like spending my money somewhere else(like on clothes :D!). For me this would be a waste of money. But the truth is that I don't really like playing games at all.

I agree with you. I don't know why someone pay money to reach higher level in online game. It's waste!

Not at all.I don't think it's just a waste of time and money.Well it's a two sided coin.It would depend on the person answering the question. Is gaming for Competition purposes,Entertainment purposes or for Educational purposes. The spectrum is simply to wide to answer yes or no to the question. If your whole life revolves around gaming, then I could agree to a certain degree.I have better reasons for using a computer and gaming consoles for playing games.

I have played Travian, but I don't play anymore. I haven't never used money on browser games and never going to. When I played travian couple years back I was in top 10 without using any money and I'm sure that all others in top 10 were using real money. And why use real money in browser games when you can use them something useful.

yeah, for me playing these online games are for us to enjoy, not spend. Good thing not all players are like us, otherwise all game production companies would go bankrupt

I played online games since when I was in high school, I can answer your question well its either you want to cheat or you want to be happy. I ask most of my player friends too about that, why did they buy cards for games. They said of course to upgrade and be the strongest player. All players want to be the number one, the best player.
