Random act of kindness

There are times when we just feel like making other people happy. We do some random act of kindness and in the process, we do not only make other people happy but we end up being satisfied too. For instance, we get to help the blind or the elderly cross the street. Or, we let someone on queue behind us get ahead of us. Or, we treat a co-worker to lunch. Perhaps, we offer our neighbor a ride to work or school. What random act of kindness have you done lately? What did you feel after?

Similar to what you did, I did it also many times in a month or even year. Last random act of kindness I did was I donated some cash and kind to the victims of Pablo in Davao Oriental which I am part of the province now and also to the victims of Compostela Valley. They need more help than any other people.

That is really very nice of you julyteen! We also collected some donations here in our university that our volunteers brought there just last week.

That donation was a big help to Pablo victims.

My grandmother and I were leaving Wal-Mart recently. It was around Christmas still, so naturally there was the Salvation Army bell-ringers out front. My grandmother naturally stopped and slipped a one dollar bill into the box. I pulled out a five and slipped it in, while she wasn't looking (she is generous, but not "TOO" generous). This may seem little to you, but all I had was seven dollars. I felt pleased that I contributed and pleased that it came naturally to me.

I let a woman who was harried and struggling with her children go before me in line at the store.

This is a great topic and something I really need to make more of a conscious effort to do. The only thing I can think of is allowing someone waiting in line to go ahead of me when a new cashier opened up. I often let people who are waiting to get out of the gas station (near a red traffic light) to go ahead of me. You know how people block those drives when they are stopped at a traffic light? I hate that, so I let people out in front of me whenever I get the chance. I can't think of anything more that I have done, but I am sure I can do more. I will certainly work on this one.

We should not give up being kind and good to other people. In time we we will rewarded by God and it will return to us as well.

You are right, we should not give up on being kind and good to other people even if others do not do the same for us.
