Millions of people around the world are sharing their news, views, and videos, and it won't be wrong if i say that these people are now addicted. i know personally quite a few of them who updates their statuses every now and then and without any purpose. Once i asked one of my addicted friends about facebook; he replied, "I only need two things one is a vacant room and the other is a laptop where i could enjoy my time on facebook" besides, he also said that if he is given the whole day he would like to waste all his time in facebook no matter what. if this is not an addiction then what you call this?

I feel that there are a lot of people that are on face book nearly every hour that they are awake for and to me it is a real shame, as there are other things that they could be doing with their time.
Your friend do sound like a face book addict to me as well.
I go on there not even once a day and that is log on and then log off, as it is the same people that are always on there, doing the same old things, it gets rather boring.

thanks to you for your words. You are right but you cannot convince these addicted people. however, not to be too harsh to them, i guess giving couple of hours a day to facebook may be fine as compared to sitting all day long in front of all those boring stuff like it. hang on! did i say BORING? well, for me those things may be boring but not for the facebook-lovers since, i think i should be more careful in using my words.

some of them are addicted
we should understand that why many people are addicted with facebook
some of them are addicted because of games
some of people are addicted because they find that facebook is interesting place for gathering with their old friend, their relatives, or maybe search new friend..

thanks for commenting adhyz82, that's fine if one engages himself in a number of activities on facebook, but what i mean is that there shoule be a limit to everything because i don't like people sitting all throughout the day, or even the half day, on facebook. by doing so, you're not wasting your time but you're killing your time. it'd be rather wise to do some constructive work or at least make some dollars online.

I think it is.
Just not for me.
i see the same kids every week here in my cafe.
They all sit down and get right to facebook.
Some for hours here.
Chatting posting photos.
They are hooked.
Some get mad when their time is up, and they have to leave.

Thanks a lot Maria for your comment and forgive me for such as late response or rather lazy response. well, i don't like people sitting all the time on facebook without doing any constructive work but i do like mylotters at least they are making some money out of it. thanks to mylot. i guess, that also depends upon your community, family members, and friends, if they are active and respond you on every discussion you have to be too no matter what. i believe i'm bit harsh to these facebook-addicted-people. thanks again for your words and take care.

Facebook is meant for connecting with the people in your life. It's a great way of sharing our views, photos with our friends and family. But some people give it more importance than anything. All the day, everytime they’re updating their status. Uploading a bunch of pics just to get some likes & comments has become their main goal.
Addiction of everything is dangerous. Same is the case with facebook . One must avoid spending so much time on Facebook. There are much more better things to do outside your computer.

I would have to say that Facebook is not an addiction. Its true that some can be addicted to Facebook but it is not an addiction as to where you have to get treatment. Some people take it too far by posting every little detail of their lives up there which is just crazy, I have friends like that.

In other way it is addiction. Facebook is very in for now a days. Not just for meeting site for the relatives and friends but also for businesses. Complete package from images or photos, videos, networking games and if you love writing you can express it in Facebook. Back then is Myspace but now Facebook.

I think for anyone who had a addicting personality it can become an addiction but for most people it will just be a place to play games, talk with friends, family, and make new friends.

Well if you are really hyped about the site and you are new to social media, then most likely you’ll get the feeling of being addicted by it.
But for me personally, as I am living in the modern era, where I grow up with the advancement and the rise of social media, I find it not addictive mainly because I am used to social networking sites back when I was still in my freshmen years in high school and up until now. So, I am not that hooked by it. Usually, I just registered by the site because my friends and affiliates are also there. It’s in a way keeping a close connection to people that are far away from you.

Yes, I agree that using Facebook nowadays is already an addiction. Me, myself considered as an addict Facebook user. I do logging in almost Everyday. I want to be always updated with my friends and relatives from a distant place. Facebook for me is a stress releasing site same with Mylot.

Yes facebook is a addiction nowadays but it depends on person using it. Some people are really addicted to it that they just cant think beyond facebook and there are also some people which takes it as a normal site. I have seen some people using facebook nearly 7 to 8 hours daily and on the other hand I have also seen people who check their facebook account once in two days.

I believe it can become an addiction. I know some people who spend way too much time on there. I myself do spend a lot of time on there as well, but mostly for chatting with my friends and looking at pictures that my friends posted. I hardly ever update my status, because I find it kind of pointless. I mean, the things people put on there... I couldn't spend a whole day just on facebook though, I would get so bored!

Yes, it's an addiction. I guess it's fine to get addicted to Facebook using their free time only. But if they are at work, they should prioritize their jobs first than their Facebook accounts. It's alright to use their breaktime but not most of their time. Most people get addicted to facebook but eventually, they might lose their interest, too. I was once a Facebook addict but nowadays, I can't even surf my account for one whole hour. I only sign in to my Facebook chat and wait for someone to chat me. If, for example, nobody chatted me, then I didn't have any activity. LOL. I hope they will enjoy their time in Facebook. One day, they might not have any time for it anymore. Happy mylotting.

Absolute addiction, I would say. I used to be like this when I first joined Facebook, but I soon realized that in most cases it's pure waste of time. Yes, it's good to know what your friends do, but sharing senseless stuff all the time, 24/7, is simply brain cell killer. There are much better things to do. So, I stopped Facebooking all the time and usually log in once or twice a month. It's quite enough for me. Same people, same stuff, only some news. No games.
