That's what guys do, they have to compete with each other. One thing you will never hear them brag about is their girlfriends because there is always a better looking girl around the corner. Let them have their male bonding time, as long as they don't start rumours about people in the company, then they will need be taken down a notch. I've worked with guys like this and eventually they will run out of junk to brag about.

Sometimes our bosses get noisy. They talk in their language so we can't understand them. But we know when they are referring to us because our names are audible. LOL. They talk loud. Their only task is to receive calls from their clients and relay the messages to us. So they can gossip 24/7 unless there are no calls. LOL. I hope your bosses will minimize gossping. They should be the role models in your office.

Gossiping is common practice in any office or in most places. For a boss however to be obviously engage in this activity is sort of unbecoming. Somehow this would cost a loss of trust and respect for him not only from his subordinates but from friends and associates too.

Gossiping for men is a bit of unusual. I rarely encounter men who gossip. Men would usually talk about sports and those things and i don't mind, but if they talk about other people, then I would really lose my respect.
As superiors in a company, one should set example for their employees. Respect doesn't come with the position.

Yes, but not during work during gig time and usually not n the manner of putting the person down but more on commending.i It is very unprofessional. Specially when done in the office and during work. And not a good role model and when you hear them you might have the idea that they are gossiping about you also.

I like reading gossips about celebrities, I'm following a blog about it. It's for entertainment for me but never when it's about neighbors, friends and families.
It's a normal habit when you're in a crowd and I can accpet this as long as someone is taking responsible for the words they spoke.

We have no boss in our office, so many colleagues will come to our office to gossip during the break time. And our boss will not come to our office and gossip with us, she will bring tasks to us.
