Anything special that i can gift my girlfriend for her birthday?

hello lotters! my girlfriend's birthday is comming up very soon and i have absolutely no idea as to what i should gift her as thisis the first time i've come across her birthday ever since we started this relationship!
And i can never figure out what girls like for a gift!
could anyone help me with this problem?

hello friend,
this is really a coincidence as one of my friends birthday is also coming up,I love her more than my life and she know's it but she likes me just as a friend.she is in India and i am in a different country.So If she says yes to me so I would rather think of something which should stay with her all the time,which should make her feel that i am always with her,holding her hands in good and bad times,right..?
I would suggest you to go with something which she can keep with her all the time.May be a WATCH,which conveys a message that you miss her every second, Or a dress which would make her feel that she is in your arms.A ring if you feel it appropriate and don't forget chocolates as girls love it.
My best wishes to both of you and don't forget to wish her on my behalf.
And dont't forget to let me know what you bought and how did the birthday go.

Honestly, even I was thinking of giving her a watch as we both are also in a long distance relationship!
And ironically even I'm from India!! I stay in Mumbai and my girlfriend stays in Pune!
