Another Child Killed!

A california woman of 21 years of age decided to feed a 2-year old little girl named Joileen Garcia chili powder. The child suffered a seizure and ended up dying. She is the girlfriend of the man who cared for the child since she was one in half. What is wrong with people today. How can anyone take the life of a child. I wondered if she was jealous of the child and her father's relationship. Of course the biological mom is devastated. They don't say why she didn't have custody of the child. Whatever the reason this murderer committed this crime I hope she is found guilty and spends the rest of her life behind bars. In fact I really wish things were like they were back in the day and eye for an eye. That she is given a container of chili powdered to digest with no water and lets see what happens to her.

I know the deterrants aren't there any more, we have to respect the rights of the person, regardless of the crime they have committed, that really grates on me! Mind you I am sure for the crime she has done she will get a lot of trouble behind bars from the other prisoners! Crimes against children don't go down well in prisons! This woman is crazy, giving a two year old girl chili powder? She deserves her punishment and MORE! But no doubt she will get let out early as they usually do! If she survives prison that is!

You are right there are no deterrants at all and that is the biggest problem. If people knew that however you killed a child or an adult that you were going to die the same way I bet crimes of this nature would go down considerably. I just don't understand how the mind can take you to the point of killing someone especially a child. "What the heck did this child do to you to make you kill them?" What were they thinking what was the thought process of deciding to use chili powder?

Another insane person killing a child. That child is still a baby, what could possibly be her fault for her to be treated that way. Your right that woman should be punished by feeding her with containers of chili powder and let her die the same way. Maybe it's time to punish these murderers and abusers the same way they did to their victims, that will be a really good lesson for the them.

I truly believe an eye for an eye. However you kill someone you should be killed the same way. I bet crimes would go down big time. What I don't understand is how she could do it not realizing she would be caught.

I know, but how can you hate an innocent child to the point of murdering her.

She must have hated the poor child that much, to be so stupid and heartless like that.

This is something that is not necessary at all. In fact, I feel like any time that a child is killed it is something that isn't called for at all. It is my feeling that when you join a ready made family, you should accept all members of the family for who they are and you should never have any kind of jealousy for the children that are a part of that family. I do certainly hope that the woman that reasonlessly killed this child is prosecuted to the full extent of the law and that she does have to spend a lot of time in jail.

I agree with you on all counts. I just can't understand how anyone can let themselves get to the point of committing murder especially on an innocent precious child.

Hiya lelin, Children are being terribly abused but it has always gone on anyway whatever kind of penalty and there were very tough penalties here before too but the killing still went on some would terrify anyone. One recent case here and you might well have heard about it is unbelievable but it happened and the ones who are paying the highest price are the actual Family and relatives and the Mother too. For the rest of their lives they are never going to be able to forget this no matter how much therapy they have. Does the other one in Prison suffer? Well if that person suffers donĀ“t seem like it but then you have to be totally out of it to have done something like this person has done. Feel terribly sorry for the child and Family as well who could think of such a thing.xxx

I agree with you Krissy12, chili powder and only chili powder, and eye for an eye. See how she likes it.

I agree with everyone. she needs to suffer for what she did to that child. That child didn't ask for that. I think she should go to prison and have chilli powder for her 3 meals till she suffers like that child did. No child asks for abuse no matter what they do. and as far as her possibly doing it over being jealous over the relationship she (child) had with her father is wrong. A lot of mothers wish for their child to have close relationships with their fathers.

What happened to this woman? she probably have a mental illness. A person live with no conscience. Her jealousy lead her to anger to murder their child. There were cases happened here but although she haven't killed but hurt the victim brutally because of the jealousy also .Sometimes it's better to apply and eye to an eye and a tooth for a tooth. So they can taste the pain of what they have made to their victim

She was not the mom in this case. She was the 21 year old girlfriend of the father. I'm thinking maybe she wanted him all to herself and the child may have been in the way of this. I don't know for sure because we have not yet heard of the motive for this crime.

The courts don't care about children. We had a case here of an adoptive father that rented out his 3 little boys to pedophiles. One of the perverts was sentenced recently and got just 10 years. There is something wrong with a system that does not imprison child molesters for life without parole. I would actually prefer execution since these monsters never improve. That monster that killed Joileen Garcia will probably get a couple of years on manslaughter and go on to kill more children. People like that should not be allowed to live. They are demons, plain and simple.

That is so true they will definitely repeat the crime. Once you kill a child you should be killed never to walk the earth again. These poor innocent children don't deserve this. I surely hope they get her in jail but what happens is they will keep her in confinement where no one has access to her.

It really hurts to hear about these stories. Being a mother myself, I just cannot understand what would make someone do such a thing to a child. I feel so sorry for this little girl and her family.

The girl was adorable and I just can't imagine what the parents are going through. It makes me so sick everytime I hear another story of a child being killed. I'm still so upset with Casey Anthony getting away with murder and that was a year or so ago.

Yes, if they know that they will get the same treatment when caught it would definitely stop alot of people from killing, especially innocent children. Something has to give this can't go on where children are not safe anywhere anymore.

I find it unbelievable the ways that epople will think of to abuse and torture little kids. It is so sickening and disgusting. I am sure that the prison population will find a way to get justice for that baby if she is incarcerated. What is it with these killers? What is wrong with them? Are they jealous of a little babies? too much of this is happening not just in your country but all over the world. We have millions of very sick people on this planet and it is hard to forgive any crime but a crime against a child is unforgivable May her precious soul rest in peace.

I would love to know what makes a person think of abusing a child and then how do they come up with what method of abusing the child. When I hear a child cry I want to cry so I really can't imagine how a person would think nothing of harming a child. It breaks my heart everytime I hear of another child killed. I just don't understand how this world has lost respect for the life of a child.

That's horrible for a mom to kill her own child. Could she suffering post-partum depression? Some women do experience this right after giving birth.

No she was not the mom. She was the 21 year old girlfriend of the father. The father had the child since she was 1 in a half years old. I don't know why the mom didn't have custody.
