My Hotmail account has not been able to send or receive messages for about 4 days. Is anyone else having this problem?
Is there a fix for it?
Should I contact my service provider?
My Hotmail is where I receive mail from my friends and I'm missing hearing from them.

It can't be me then as I don't have ANY followers (that I know of)
I am glad you got it sorted. Hotmail was my very first email account but I started to get too many spam messages, so I ditched it, many years ago now. I know it's still free, but it's not for me.

Many many years ago I had a Hotmail account, but as time went on the sites I joined wouldn't allow me to use my hotmail address, it's very biased out there, GMail addresses only most sites I use state in their T&C's even Yahoo has been banished. I know Gmail is a good mailer to use, but why do sites seem to dictate to you which email provider you can use. I hope you get it sorted my friend, there's nothing more frustrating and you feel isolated too when this happens.

Hi MsTickle, sorry to hear about your email issue. Did you get it sorted?
Hotmail has quite a bad reputation and I know from past experience with it that it used to be really bad to use. Gmail is much better in my opinion. Far easier and more reliable to use and safer too. If you continue having issues, then I recommend switching over to Gmail.

No, nothing sorted yet Bill. I've been doing some research and I have a few ideas to follow through on, hopefully, something will work out...I'm learning as I go so that's a good thing.
Actually, as well as Hotmail, I have 2 Gmail accounts, 2 yahoo and 1 from my ISP.
I've been using Hotmail for about 12 years and this is the first time I have had a problem for a long time.

I've linked all my email accounts to my phone. I just noticed today that the last hotmail email I received through my phone is a couple of days old. I logged in on my desktop earlier and I saw all the emails that I didn't get.
So, there was certainly something going on with hotmail, but I thought it was just the transfer to mobile sites.

I access all my hotmail/msn/live accounts through the Windows Live email client and have been regularly receiving and sending all mail. I never log in individually to each account because I have too many of them. I do know that hotmail/msn/live were urging users to update to the new Outlook interface which is actually more streamlined and not so bloated with buzzers and bells. The Messenger (to which the email accounts are attached) is also merging with Skype. Perhaps with all these changes and updates, it is a temporary server glitch?
Have you tried Hotmail - Microsoft Windows Help?

Yes, I rang my service provider last night and they also suggested to try Microsoft. I found a Hotmail forum and there was a reply to a similar question as mine saying the technicians are working diligently to fix the problems. I guess I just have to wait and see.
Thanks so much for your input.
