I am usually turned off by meat, I only eat it because when I didnt for a number of months my health went down hill.
My doctor told me to eat a little meat here, and there.
I got a pack of 2 porkchops, which were seasoned already. I put them in the frying pan with some water, and sort of cooked them in the water, then fried them after pouring the water out.
It was so delicious, I have never enjoyed meat this much in years. I bought chicken the other day as well, so I hope it turns out just as nicely as these porkchops.
I probably wont have them for a few weeks now, seeing as I had a porkchop tonight, then the seceond one tomorrow, that is more meat than I normally eat.

I love trying new things as well when cooking. I haven't had pork chops in ages I think the next time my boyfriend is over and we decide to cook I am going to try making pork chops for something different. Glad it turned out good and you enjoyed it.

Hi 911,
I hardly ever eat meat. At most I can eat is chicken. I do not like mutton or pork and since I am Hindu so I can not and nor I would ever taste beef. In our house we hardly eat out and make our meals three times a day and it is usually vegetarian with lots of vegetables and fruit or vegetable salad. I usually have eggs in breakfast so most of time it is so.

You shouldn't eat too much red meat. Fish and chicken is good for you, especially fish. I don't know why you started cooking the pork in water as it doesn't get to temperature, but frying in a little oil does. You have to make sure you cook the pork( and chicken) thoroughly as you can be seriously ill if you don't. Fish is much easier and quicker to cook. Nice in butter! mmmmm

You might have gotten sick cause of lack of protein in your diet. Your body needs that to survive and fight off alot of illnesses. Perhaps there were some other vitamins and such in the meat also that you were lacking. Do you take a milti-vitamin? Iron is in meat too so you might lack iron if you don;t eat meat. There are some other sources of iron out there too such as some vegetables and beans. But you have to meet the daily requirement of your age and such too.

Thanks for sharing such a delicious post. i often like to eat meat as compared to the chicken since the former gives you more in fact, most strength than the latter. i have had a few frinds of mine who have never tasted meat in their whole life and i wonder how they are surviving. this is the first time i've heard that someone cooking chicken in water before actually frying it. can you tell me why did you pour water into the frying pan. what's the logic behind that...i mean i'm new at it.
