it really depends on how bad they get. my mom has to go to the hospital to get a shot when hers get to bad. I've had to go 1 time and got some strong medicine. May I ask if you have bad allergies or any allergies at all? that is 1 thing that will cause a migraine for me. another thing is I have to have caffeine or I get a migraine headache. they are no joke and they get bad mine get so bad I can't concentrate on anything. sound or light or even closing my eyes make it hurt more. I hope you are able to get rid of yours easily.

well not easily, as you said these were some of the symptoms, that match with my pain exactly, getting sensitive to light and sound , cant bear it for even a second, at time throwing up, infact use to every time I had a migraine stroke , recently, throwing up has kinda come down. Caffeine??? yeah I need to get good, sound sleep that's one home made remedy for me, but finding sound sleep is difficult, particularly, if you have the vomiting sensation, and still unable to throw it up, things get worse, once you throw it up, its heavenly, sound sleep, u wake up things are much better., U may laugh at this but, I read somewhere, that clove is a natural cure, I tried it a couple of times, helped me for that moment, cloves.....

yes I can also get "good sound sleep" but as you said that is very hard to find. I don't know about your family but I have a 3 year old and a 5 year old and my husband lol so sound sleep is rare for me. I also get those symptoms and they really can get unbearable at times. I don't laugh at that because migraines are not a laughing matter. I think I have also hears that but another thing I have heard but never tried was mint leaves would help. May be something else you can try...like I said I don't know if it works but it doesn't hurt to try.

I have met someone that had severe headaches. I read about some remedies onece and she tried them and it seemed to work for her. The first is to drink only distilled water, because some tap water causes headaches. Also, give up wheat and dairy and some of these cause food allergies and make people have headaches.

I also have migraine attacks sometimes. I have been prescribed by a medicine for that but since I could not buy it without a prescription on other instances of the attacks, using mefenamic acid sometimes would be sufficient.

You might be having myofascial pain syndrome, it can contribute for having migraine. It could be related to stress level or lifestyle. Some people felt relief when they go for massage on their trapezius muscles.
