So here I'am sitting in my usual spot in bed and what came to me is my all-time nostalgia. We all have our own unique experiences during childhood and we all want to tell the tale. And for me, I want to tell you about one specific afternoon - that one time I stayed in my grandparent's barn throughout summer. One of the best moments of my life I should say. That afternoon was like any other, I woke up from my mandatory afternoon siesta, and as a five year old (or maybe younger) all I know about life is food and play, food, play, play and food! (We all agree to this right?) I stepped outside the bright orange daylight and saw my grandmother cleaning the lawn and the steppes where the animals would stay and will be fed later that afternoon. I smiled at her while sitting under an overgrown bamboo some distance from where our old Cherie (our most beloved dog) was buried earlier that day. (That moment broke my heart, our hearts.) My aunt was also there, I don't know exactly what was she doing inside the sheds but as soon as she was finish she handed me a pill of water and made me water the plants. And you know what, that classic scene keeps playing in my head every time I smell something burning. (You know how stuffs in the farm smells after soaked in the rain and then thrown into the scorching bonfire? That kind of smell!) Wet things tend to produce more smoke and that exact smell (or Aroma, it doesn't seem to fit if I call it that though) always brings me nostalgic flashes. And that my friend, was one of the earliest memory I have that I can still vividly remember. What smells brings you back to your childhood? Have a great day!

Ah yeah. I remember mine. The only thing that brings me back to my childhood days is whenever I watch old cartoons when I was still a child on youtube.com. I remember Diamos, Voltes V, Voltron and last Bio man. I love Bio man when I was a child. He he.

The smell of a baby powder.lol. Kidding aside, it was the only thing that I think of. The fragrance of a baby powder, it brings back the childhood years.

When we were little, we went for vacations near the mountains to a place that had a long trail to the river. The trail had cypresses on both sides and when we walked on that path, the scent to the bushes was very strong. It was the only time in the year I smelled that as I donĀ“t not have the bushes anywhere else nearby. It smellt like sun and vacations and free life.

Well I would say I think about my childhood every single day when the clock ticks 5 in the evening. Simply because 5 o'clock was my playing time. Not only me but all the kids in the neighborhood would have brightly lit faces when its 5. Even today I feel restless and excited when its 5 in the evening. Truly childhood is the most wonderful phase of our life.

The smell of Thanksgiving dinner. My mother and grandmother would prepare Thanksgiving dinner and the unique smell would make me drool. I couldn't wait to eat. My grandmother is no longer here, but when I go back to my mother's for Thanksgiving and she cooks it brings me back. Also the smell of baseball cards. The packs always came with a stick of gum and the smell would remain on the cards. Not long ago I was going through my old cards and they still have that smell all these years later.
