Hello, my friends!
Here's something that has bothered me since last night. I was reading comics as usual and came across a story where two friends liked the same boy. here's what happened.
Characters
Haruna: a simple girl who likes Fumi
Asami: a pretty girl who likes Fumi?
Fumi: A dense but kind guy, very friendly
Haruna dates Fumi because she likes him. Fumi is friendly towards everyone, but is not aware of Haruna's feelings. Haruna then plans to confess to Fumi.
Asami is a long time friend of Fumi. She knows Haruna likes Fumi. When Fumi visited her, she kissed him, confessed to Fumi first then they become a couple. Haruna saw them kiss at their house. Haruna was heartbroken.
Haruna confronts Asami why she didn't say she liked Fumi too. Asami said that 'why should i tell you?'
Do you think what Asami did was right?
I was thinking, what a byotch! She must have thought she is so pretty that she could have the guy easily. Maybe she liked the guy a long time but only confessed now that she's threatened by haruna getting him first. Or maybe she's just competitive? A bully behind a pretty mask? I am so annoyed by this character.
What do think of this situation?
Oh, by the way, if you want to read the comics too. It's called 'Koukou debut' Google it if you want.

During my childhood days, I always read children comics, and soon I turned to different categories of comics but romance. I hardly read any romantic comic unless there was something like action, horror, detective, comedy. Now I hardly get any time to read comics.
Your comic as see is a romance triangle, however there always some comedy between this, but this is more of emotion. And I say heart breaking comics will not go well in the market.
My idea is Haruna should tell Fumi about her feelings.

Same. I don't like tragic romance. I read different genres but I like romance better than most. I also dig psychological comics and action. They are fun! Detective books and stories, I like reading about them than see them in comics though.
You should open up to different genres. Romance and love is an essential emotion to explore. Though it can be boring, it really depends on the story you choose, They can't all be bad.
The love triangle is only a brief part of the comics. It was the Haruna's first love and first heartbreak. But she got over it quite quick because there is someone else she loves more and only then did she realize it.
She was unable to confess because asami and fumi already are a couple. She simply moved on and found another love. the love was not that strong to begin with.

It would be fun to read light romance themes. I like the ones with humor and action with it. Plain romance is fine as long as the characters are interesting enough.
Haruna's love interest in that manga is not really Fumi. Fumi was merely her first love and her first heart break. Things barely started between them and then suddenly some other girl steals the guy. Poor dear. But she found someone she loved more... someone she loved even before she fell in love with FUmi. You can check out the manga if you want.

We hardly ever had romantic comics, and whatever romance was in comics, that was part of hardcore action comics. All type of romance was there including tragic romance which were unpopular and was always complained by readers to publishers.
On this Haruna story, publisher might have to be informed, if readers don't like the script.

Hi!
I think it is just a fiction and in a fiction no one could be termed as right or wrong. As long as you enjoy the plot and read it till the end, writer's purpose is served.

I know but... just think if this happens in real life? Would it be right or wrong?
I think it's not right... but not entirely wrong. The girl also has the right to confess her feelings. I guess her timing was bad.

I have certain viewpoint on this whole two friends liking the same guy thing. 1st: the friends should be sincere with each other. They should both tell if they like the guy. If it happens, let the guy choose, and the non-chosen one should accept it. Because, if they decide not to go for the guy, both of them are going to suffer... if one could get the guy, at least one of them is going to be happy... and the other one, if she's a real friend, would accept it and try to be happy for the friend.
But in this case, Asami is a real non-friend material cow. She knew how Haruna felt, she didn't say a thing, she didn't even tell Haruna what happened, bc Haruna found out by seeing them together (if I understand it right), and then she thinks she doesn't have anything to confess to a girl who's supposedly her friend? Nooooo, she's not a friend at all. If she was a friend, she wouldn't have even gotten together with the guy before talking it over with Haruna, at least. She's either really selfish (bc maybe he liked Fumi as well), or she's just competitive, or she wanted to prove that she's better than her "lame" friend (oh, how many girls I know who only friend others, especially avergae gitls, so that thy can always feel fabulous and better than everyone), or she just loves playing with other people's emotions.

Yes, I was thinking that as friends they should be honest with each other. But this girl didn't even say anything. She even faked supporting her but then stole the guy behind her back. After the poor girl worked so hard to date the guy. It's so bad.
What I hate the most was when asami used this innocent face and said 'I don't think I did anything wrong. Why should I tell you?'
I know, such a byotch right. She pretends she's innocent and right. Didn't even feel any guilt after what she did. Though sometimes she thinks she is a bad girl, the people around her, including haruna, still think she's a nice girl. I was like, pweh! what bullsh-t. LOL.
I suspect she is guilty of all charges!!! Such a horrible person. As the story went on, all of them became friends still. Haruna got a better boyfriend who is a 100 times hotter than the other dude.

The affection towards the same gender is not an issue anymore. It happens, the relationships of liking the same gender is their own choice. It will be an issue if you condemn that kind of affection. I don't feel surprised though.

I think Asami's just too competitive and insecure. I mean, if she's really a friend, she wouldn't do that kinda thing.. Maybe she already have that kind of scheme in the first place because it seems like she did it on purpose, you know, to hurt Haruna or just to make her jealous of her having Fumi first. I hate these kind of people, they don't even bother or even try to consider somebody else's feelings.

Yeah, I hated her actions too. It was selfish. Is this when people say: 'All's fair in love and war?'
By the way, as the story progressed, haruna fell in love with Asami's brother. Maybe Asami noticed her brother is starting to have feelings for haruna so she meddled in. All this is purely my own theory though. I have not finished reading the story yet, so maybe there will be clues.
Thanks for responding, pumpkin!

Haha, all is fair in love and war, wow that phrase has been overused already but yeah, I guess so.. :D Really? She meddled in, again? She must have a lot of guts to that. I think she's just insecure or some sort of attention seeker. But anyhow, I'd like to read the whole to story!!! :)

I finished reading the manga! It's quite short. Only 52 chapters. Though Asami was annoying 'till the end. Yep, it was proven that she is an attention seeking girl, manipulative. I don't think she deserved the kind boyfriend she had.
Ye, the phrase is over used. It's kind of annoying when people say this phrase, especially when you are on the losing side.

i think the other girl is just being competitive for the sake of love. therefore, haruna may take one step behind if she wants to save their friendship.

Yeah. But that girl already knew the guy for a long time and of all times, why did she choose to confess during a time when her friend started liking the same guy? Maybe she was threatened.
