A little girl, five years old, is presently tutoring for reading with me and she's quite a sweet girl until something upsets her. Her mother is a Filipina, a simple and very demure and soft-spoken lady who married an American. Naturally, the girl looks very much like her father although I haven't seen him because the little girl does not have even just a little resemblance to her mother who is dark-skinned and has jet-black hair. The girl has fair skin and blonde hair and she speaks nothing but English. One time she was given a little scolding by her mother and she became really upset, she started crying and telling me her mother is bad. She looked so cute actually, but her reactions really amazed me because I've never seen such a reaction from any local kid. Obviously, her foreign blood is getting the better of her and she was expressing feelings in the most honest way. I noticed that the mother was only trying to control herself but I knew that the girl will get the real scolding in the house. I hope the girl will learn to control her emotions someday.

Most kids are that way at that age. My son was. He grew up to be a great kid. Just keep teaching her there. Good luck. Shell come out of it...

Little babies are always naughty generaly,i thought it doesn't matter. I have a little sister who is just five years old,she is a lot noisy but never be seriousky scolded by my parents. We can prodect what people will do when he or she is only three; And we can forecast his future when he is eight. It is ture that the little girl can control herself if the adults teach she carefully and give she a lightly way to grow.

I think most of American kids are very frank and they want to get what they want. If you stop them they will cry out loud and make some revenge acts to the parents or even the people around them. Our local kids follow their parents even in their heart they don't want.

Wow, a very outspoken little girl. I think she can become a very outspoken spokeperson or journalist in the future. That is her plus point, however it will be great if she learn some diplomatic and protocol, she will be perfect. It is interesting that you have the chance to see her development.

I think most of the attitude of the children are like that, the mother did the right thing, if she thinks that her daughter is doing wrong then we must tell them or let them understand that what they did is wrong. As a parent we should not let our kid spoil. And yes kids are too cute even with any kind of reaction they have. that is the one thing that kids are.

My daughter is 3 and she can have an attitude sometimes, it all depends on the childs disposition mostly I believe. Parents need to teach children right from wrong but sometimes it's just who they are. I can be funny cute sometimes, but you have to remember to give a positive reaction to misbehavior.

Children find it difficult to understand and express their emotions in the right way, it's only when they get a deeper understanding that they control them and fully comprenhend them. The thing I like best about children is their honesty and they tell you like it is, their imaginations and creativity, as well as their lust for life and humour, a lot of this is lost as they become adults, so we have to appreciate them as much as possible regardless of how they let out their feelings.

mostly kids would do that especially. if the mother is more dominion than her daughter then i think she could still fix her attitude. it is not yet too late, she's still young.

Little girls or boys are naturally like that. It is the parents who will adjust to their kids' attitude. A good mother understands her child in any situation. When a parent always shouts at their kids, they will likely grow like their parents. There is a certain stage where children can clearly differentiate what is right or wrong and decide whether they will do that or not.
