I am not aware but I am aware about the 5 years old girl rape in the Philippines by a group of teenager, which is very terrible incident that will tell parents to be careful about their children. There's no more safe place in the world now.

For a start, as horrific as a crime it may be here, I wonder if you know that there were other news of rapes involving 7 year olds in other parts of India (1) at village Wadshingi in Jalgaon Jamod taluka of Buldhana district, involving an 18 year old who lured this innocent young girl and defiled her in his house.
At around the same time (I believe), another 7 year old was raped but this time "luck" ran out on her life, she was murdered by her 28 year old rapist in Nelluralli in Whitefield, Bangalore. (2)
Call it wonders of the internet where you can almost link anything when you do online searches and I believe yours here involves a 7 year old girl student being raped in her school's toilet in Goa, India. (3) Not trying to gloat or tell you what to do but I believe it would be better if you had included references when you start a discussion of such sensitive nature. I am saying this in the wake that rape is rampant and for India you can be reading this almost every other day with similar demographics too, if I may add. It is a fact (if you check it out yourself) that just 2012 alone, India has had 220,000 rape cases (reported) and only God knows how many other thousands that went unreported in that given conservative community. So, I wouldn't say that this isn't horrific enough (sorry) but again forgive my seeming lack of compassion because I couldn't help it.
It is a fact that the country is really at its primitive as far as crime prevention and protection of women or girls is concern. Speaking from this case, it is obvious that schools in Goa have neglected security and sadly it had to take a heinous crime to awaken the authorities into drawing up such measures into their education establishments. Again, only God knows what they have been or have not been doing all this while until this crime fell onto this young girl. (4) I don't know if a mere "tsk! tsk!" would suffice or what you would want to call it but I have 2 appropriate words for them "TOO LATE!"

where are the police and security? where are people around? not saying or doing anything? if this is happening a lot they need security at schools over there.

That is awful! Raping anyone is a horrible thing as it is, but to do something like that to a seven year old child is even worse. I've never been able to figure out why anyone would do that to anyone. There are some sick people in this world.

It is quite alarming that rape cases in india is quite high, it is very disturbing too... there should be something education that should be done in their society. I am not saying there aren't any rape cases here but then lately people are a lot more vigilant and women can totally defend themselves.

Oh my God, she is only 7 years old, not a grown woman yet. What an animal would do such horrible thing. It seems India has all these social problem with their own people. I heard the student got group rape at the bus, and they didn't do much about it too. I just wonder what is the social justice for it.

Hi toxic_lifestyle
It i very sad to here that ,in recent times in Indian these kind of issues are raising day by day still the government is not reacting as fast as it should be instead they are taking rest by keeping a committee .Shame on this part of government behavior for not reacting incidentally. They should punish the person who is responsible for this .

I felt bad about that news. I think a school is a public place and there are a lot of pupils or student there and no one saw that crime. Is it that there is no security guard in India to take good care and look for the students? Well, I never heard that news here in our country, being raped in school,in other places but not really in school because the school is responsibility for what ever will happened to the students.
