Where Did All Names Come From?

I look at my name first (naturally). I got it coz my parents knew some cool guy named Jason Harry (and so named me Jason Harry Hubbard). I imagine that's how the very first name came into being 'because some guy was cool' (I mean, there's a lot of 'specifics' mixed into that; but in the end, 'some guy was cool' ... tee-hee ) Is that how you imagine it worked?

As far as the names are concern, American names are the things we adapted during their colonization to our country. Some countries have their names with the name of flowers. In addition, it depends on what culture. The names derived from their ancestors' names.

I think our parents depend on their gut feeling or intuition regarding names. There is no coincidence regarding that even if they named us after someone who was really cool. My mom got my name from her maiden name and from her surname.

Kinda reminds me of the way most Old Testament parents named their kids ... they name them such-&-such because the mother said "such-&-such" about how life will soon be.

Names or personal insignia are often arrived at through just figments of our imagination. Most surnames point to this fact.
