Technology has evolved so much, I realized it few days back. The world has shrunk, I realized it few days back. Everybody is so connected now-a-days, I realized it few days back.
Few days back, I went to Mumbai for some work. As soon as I landed, I realized that I have not paid my mobile phone bill. The connection was terminated. Add on to it, the battery too was low. I tried calling my friend to recharge my phone, but there was some communication problem. In the meantime my phone switched off. Now I was there, at a new place, with my phone switched off & I remembered no contact no.
Then it came to me that I can pay my phone bill through internet at any cafe. As I was on my way to cafe, I realized I don't remmeber my customer number to login. Plan dropped. "Now what do I do" - was the immediate question in my mind.
It was the time that I realized we are so dependant on technology now-a-days. With no mobile phone, no internet - I was so disconnected with the world. It taught me a lesson - to always remember some contacts phone numbers - never rely on technology completely. After all the system may crash anytime :-(

Its true that the technology has become a very important part of our lives. We can't even imagine living our lives without technology. We're so dependent on technology.
Well in your case I will advice you to use prepaid plans instead of post paid plans so you can recharge your balance from anywhere.

Hehe, Deepu, your discussion is funny and entertaining, and at the same time it is true as well. =) We have become so dependent on technology, and I do admit that myself. I do not memorize my mother's phone and what if i did lose a phone's charge with no extra battery? I would not be able to tell her where i am so she would not be worried about me.
Well, that is true, let us not completely rely on technology - for everything we do, we can use them to help us but let us not be dependent on them. (our cellular phones, our laptops, etc). Better really to rely on memory for the most important contacts we have in our phone. At least there are a couple of people we can contact when we do need to. Especially during emergency.

]I would be lost without my cellphone, that is for sure. I have a smartphone, and being able to go on the internet, when I am not home, is ideal. I use the internet on my phone quite a bit, and to not have it would make it harder to do anyt8ing that I need to do with it when I am not home on my computer. I would be lost as well, if I couldn't access mylot when I am away from home. I do enjoy using my smartphone. technology has changed and keeps on changing, and hard to keep up with it sometimes. Hooray for smartphones. Take care, and have a good day. ![](/Content/images/emotes/happy.gif)

Rule number one. Do not go to places with no technology. I couldn't image myself in a "unurban" area where I can't connect to the web. That wouldn't be a holiday for me.
