Here I am, its like my brain blows and I'm empty.. just nothing. It all comes in my mind that they gave so many ideas and because of that I don't know which path should I follow. In my heart, it breaks me a little. They push me in I.T. field which they (my parents) will send me at singapore. Then I have this friends would like to become rich in canada (farming or physical therapist). Then my cousin (which also my dream) she have plans to work at cruise. I want to travel and this is what I like but I take Information Technology I wish my parents allow me to study again or maybe training is fine. Tomorrow I have an interview in a famous casino here in the philippines, as a junior casino dealer.. I love to gamble (hehe) also working at the casino is a great opportunity but the work and the area I must prepare myself to the exposure of cigarettes (even I know in myself I don't like that). I don't know what to do... I need wisdom or inspiration, I lost my life's direction. I really don't know. :(

If you like to be around people a lot, and don't mind their changing moods, then a casino is a good place for you.My friend works as a server in a casino and customers are not nice, they are bullying her and not even give her a tip aftr she is helping them out. I, on the other side, I work as an accountant. It is very boring, I get in touch with people only a little bit. I would like to have more people around, to have someone to talk to, but this is my job. So, before you make any decision, make sure it is something you kihe and would be liking it in next 5 to 10 years from now. You're still young and can take some time to try few jobs and see what you like.

Write a list of the things you would like to do. It does help to write them down. Then write a list of the things that you do not want to do. When you write things down on paper, it will help to clarify what you want to do in life. Perhaps there is a job that involves Information Technology in which you could live abroad or you could travel. Never give up on your dreams Write down all the things that you would like to do or be. Then, with that list, you will be able to sort through what you truly are capable of achieving.

You have got to really know yourself and know what you want to do. IT or information technology is a good career, but if you have not yet trained yourself in this field, how could you be already thinking about going to Singapore when there are a lot of IT career you still need to choose. I'd say when you do not know what you want in IT, and when you do not want IT to be your career... then you probably should try to stick with the career that you love. When you want to advance, you can have your training where you are working right now... and then with that you can use what experience you gained in the current job that you love and just apply for singapore. there are a lot of hotels in there if what you want is to work in singapore.

Working in a casino can be fun and pays quite high in salaries and bonuses, so my friends had said. But I don't think there's really a career in it especially here in the Philippines where casinos are government-run. I mean, those holding key positions are either appointed or have good political backers. Also, like you said, the environment and work hours are not really that healthy. What I suggest is you assess your goals and priorities. Is earning a lot your primary concern? Or is a long-term stable career is what you want? The latter may take you some time to earn a lot but I think it would give you fulfillment in the end.

Hi imAbigael. Choose a careerpath that you think will make you happy and fulfilled. See yourself in this chosen path 5-10 years from now. Do you think you will still be as happy and as enthusiastic in choosing this careerpath by that time? It's your own future. You have all the available options before you that others are not fortunate to have so seize the opportunity you think will be best for you. Goodluck!
