I treated my little niece in the backyard. Enjoying the nature that please in our eyes. Then suddenly my niece ran to my direction and looked so scared. She was pointing to something, as I looked into it. The colony of ants were walking in-line to each other. I was surprised to her unexpected reactions. How about your children?

My daughter had a fear of ants and any kind of insects for the longest time....I think it's only natural but in my case with my daughter my dad used to tease her a bit which didn't help but we have worked through those issues with her..... Maybe your niece might of heard of someone elses fear that could be possible.....I told my daughter they are smaller then you just step on them....That seemed to help her a bit

My daughter (13) isn't afraid of to much or anything I am aware of. My son (12) on the other hand is afraid of the dark and snakes. We went for a walk last year and he saw a snake in the middle of the trail. He almost lost it. He takes after me there, I can't stand snakes. They just seem so evil! lol..

My daughter is afraid of human skeleton. Several days ago, I searched a kid's game, it's a human skeleton, they teach children the names of all parts of our bodies, showlders, knees, eyes and so on. But when my 8-year-old daughter saw it, she hid behind my back and didn't dare to look. She said it's scared and it's a ghost. I told her it's our skeleton and it's just inside our body ,no matter what I said, she wouldn't listen . Until yesterday, she told my husband that I let her watch a ghost, which is so scared.

Kids are really fun to be with, being scared to something is good chance to teach them.

It is natural to children to react just what you have witnessed. Daughters are with the same reactions before. But after have I explained regarding the pros and cons, days after they are no longer afraid.

It is nice thing to know that children felt scared of something. Eventually they will be more knowledgeable about it and overcome the fear.

My son is 4 years old now, and I have not really find out what he is afraid of. He is not afraid of insects or animals, in fact, he likes to "play" with them. I am afraid of almost any insects or worms, and he is the one who helped me to catch them or get rid of them. Sometimes, he talked to the insects, sometimes he chased them away. I am really glad he is not like me at all, and he can even protect me.

Well, my two boys were very confident and secure when they were little. I can't think of any fears that they had. They were fascinated by nature and they even like the crawling creatures.

Boys are really boys, I have the same courage to play with so many insects, except for big spiders.

My kids are all boys. So basically, they are not afraid of those. They would even try to play with them. But this is something funny with my third son being the one who is quite a handful for me. He is afraid of ghosts! He hasn't seen any yet but he would never go inside a room without anybody with him most especially at night.

My three year old son is afraid of the sound of cars and cars passing by in the streets. When he hears the sound of the car he would ran towards me. I wonder why then. Maybe because he watched Mcqueen much and he imagined many things because they were races of cars and bumping all around. I think my son has broad imagination about bumping cars.

I have no children of my own, but when I was a child, my father would show me things that could be considered scary to children. He would talk about them, never making anything scary only cautionary. My siblings and I were never taught to fear.

Hiya shavkat, Not too long back a friend of mineĀ“s dad had his dentures in a glass by the side of his bed on a little table he had fallen asleep and forgotten to put them in the Bathroom and when his little Niece had to go through the Room she saw the teeth in the glass of water and ran out crying. It really scared her she was afraid to go by the teeth. This was amusing to us but not to her and I can understand the motive. xxx

hi, in my observation if the child is in the age of 2 to 6 they can still have afraid of something, but when they reach the age of 7 and above they are not anymore afraid because they know how endure it,like my nephew in the age of three he is afraid to masking tape.

My son is terrified of bridges and water, he has tried to overcome his fears on his own. He used to scream and cry whenever we had to cross a bridge, which is not something my child normally does. He was also afraid of water so he wouldn't go swimming. He now goes into the water but he will inform people around him that he is not a good swimmer so please be careful. He now likes swimming as long as people are not pushing around him.

Children are usually afraid of insects: cockroaches, spiders, bees. Especially if there are a lot of them like that colony of ants you were talking about. I'd be afraid myself. A whole lot of insects in one place is scary.

My child is now a days afraid of dogs, my darling is brave and wants to keep pets at home. I am a bit reserved, ut why she is recently afraid of dogs i am unable to get a answer.May be as they grow fear comes due to circumstances i think
