Video chat with hawaii

My mother just called me on video phone from Hawaii. Showed me all around and bragged about the weather and snorkeling. Also showed me around the house they rented and the spare guest house they have that is empty. So why was I not invited. They have an empty guest house I could have stayed in. So sad I wasn't invited.

Well i don't think that anybody here on mylot here on mylot has any idea about why you weren't invited but all i can say is that you should stop thinking about it the more you will think see pictures, the more it will go over in your head.You just relax where you are right now, for a while do what you do best and what you like best.Go to your favorite place, watch a favorite movie, go eat something you like, shop where you like, you just go and make yourself happy and uplift you mood.

It was a rhetorical question. I didn't expect anyone to know why I wasn't invited. I was making a point about a spare guest house being empty and there would be room for someone else to go.

Your mother is obviously very happy in Hawaii so it is very natural that she would want to share her life with you. I don't know why you assume she is bragging, unless she is that kind of person and has been upsetting you for years.
Perhaps instead of judging her you could just go with the flow, admire it all, tell her how pleased you are to see what a wonderful life she has in Hawaii and it might just happen that she will invite you there to see for yourself. If she thinks you are feeling negative then this invitation may take a long time to be given.

First point. Video chats are a neat new way to communicate while on vacation. I love it! On to the second point. I totally agree. Why wouldn't they invite you if they had an empty guesthouse? If my husband and I could pay our own way, my parents would definitely let us use the guesthouse.
