Pancakes from WATER LILY roots!!

India

Traditionally, american Indians have used water lilies for various culinary and meditional purposes. The flour from the dried roots are used to make pancakes. I am so dead curious how it must taste. I love pancakes and play around with lots of fruits, cheese stuffings. But lilly root flour is somethin that I find extremely exotic. Have you tasted it? How does it taste? I know it must have lots of nutritional value, apart from the nutritional value I wonder about the flavour. I can sit and stare at the lily flowers for hours together. Would it taste as beautiful as the lily flower itself? If you ever saw a water lily, you would agree with me. If you managed to hold one in your hand, oh! its aroma is so lite so sweet.

It is my first time to hear that lilies can be a pan cake. In my country, they let it dried and make products out of it. Thanks for sharing it. Can't wait to find the chance to try the pan cake.
