My sister 5 days already complaining that her head is paining. My wife brought her already in the doctor for check up still the pain going on. Most of my friend advice to bring her on the Ophthalmologists.
The said her eyes have problem that is why she felt head paining. Is there any relations about her eyes and the pain of her head. She is 17 years old and very young I think to used eye glass. I am almost 37 years old but my eyes still good.
Please help me

Yes there is connection with your head ache and eye problem. When you think you are going to get glasses. Her eye number must have increased. I advice you to take her to eye doctor, if her numbers are increased he will tell you there and then. When you get her a pair of glasses, her headache will also calm down as her eyes will see properly.
If not this then i suggest you to just get a MRI of her head done that is head scan, just to be relieved. Nothing is wrong it happens sometimes due to over stress and work load or studies, but for your satisfaction you should do it once.Hope she feels better.

The doctor give her some medicines for stress, the doctor doubts it's because of her studies. She is 4th year high school now and one of the top 5 in the class. Maybe she force her brain to study the lessons properly. It also happened during their ongoing exams.

I think then reading writing has become stressed on her eyes. There is thing to do with the eyes. I think you should go for eye check up because I guess she has some number. Later on she will start burning sensation on eyes and then may be things get worse. I know from my own experience.

We don't have history of migraine in the family but with regards to eye problem, my mother also experience it before but I don't know the history because I didn't asked my Mom about when she was still alive. I am away with them so when she asked me to pay the doctor for eye check up and glass I give her. My other sister also experience but she is very far.

Does she feel the pain on a particular part of her head?
I use to be suffering from migraine during my school days- that triggers with stress from school works, assignment and other curricular activities.
Does she feel nausea associated with the headache?
If she feel some pain in her eyes, nausea and headache- those are also sign of migraine.
But I suggest that you have her eyes checked to determine if it is her eyesight that gives her the trouble.

-nausea
-eye irritation with too much light, sunlight or bright lights

Not all people could be using eyeglasses when they get old. You would notice that there are kids who wear glasses, too. Anyway, do have her eyes checked, coz it might be her eyes. If not, send her to another doctor to give her a request for other tests.

Yes, the advices you heard is one of the best for you to do and maybe less costly for outright her eyes will be examined for a sun glass to fit the grade of her eyes. For if you will have a consultation with another expert a real Doctor for that purpose you'll have to pay much higher cost. Our eyes, ears, nose and brain are within one group of body parts best interest of a neuro surgeon doctor. Mostly headache are connected to the depleting eyesight.

It is hard to say what causes the pain. None of us are doctors. It could be migraine or it could have something to do with her eyes. Having an eye specialist checking her out is a very good idea. People need glasses at different ages. Some young children even need glasses. So yes, have her eyes checked out and if this is not the cause of her pain at least you can eliminate that source. Good luck.

You can bring her to EENT it might be on her eyes or on her sinus. I have several headaches before that I assume because of my eyes but when I have my eyeglass still I have headaches I thought it was also a migraine but the EENT say's because I have a sinusitis headache, even though I don't have colds my head are aching like there's a drill inside my eyes. Just try to bring her to a specialist.

Hello julyteen. Maybe your sister is somewhat nearsighted and has to use the eyes a lot in class to see clearly what the teachers write on the blackboard. Or she might have recently used too much of her eyes on the computer that had caused the pain. When I stay too long at the computer for hours, my eyes feels blur and sometimes it causes the part of head close to the eyes a little painful. Then I have to rest from the computer for a couple of days before I feel good again. Anyway, I suggest you take her to see a doctor to check out what is happening to her. Take care.

It is most probably related to eyes.
Still you can take an eye test to confirm and see whet the doctors are prescribing.
The younger generations have bad diet which tends to keep away all the healthy food, more stress on eyes due to T.V and computers and even improper sleeping habits that make eyes weaker in such a young age.
Go to an eye specialist and follow up with him to understand the situation better.

Hey julyteen,
Hope is your sister doing? i think maybe she really needs an eyecheck. You did bring her to a doctor so what did the doctor say.
There is a definite relationship between our eyes and our brain. If we can't see things clearly, we'll develop a headache. I think age has no relationship to whether our eyesight is good or not because it differs for every one.
For me, i have been wearing glasses from the age of 11.

Maybe she needs correctional lenses. You know when I was 12 years old I had experienced having headaches due to eye strain. I was diagnosed of astigmatism. I had constant headache at that time. The doctor recommended me to use glasses for 6 months. I had been using glasses everyday for 6 months. Then after that, I seldom use the glasses until the time that I did not use them anymore. Then when I was 35 years old I already used reading glasses because I felt as if I am cross-eyed when I looked at near distances. Then I have been using glasses until the present. So with my experience, there is still a chance that your sister may use only the glasses for several months.

I also feel terrible headache from time to time. I already consulted an eye doctor before and they didn't find any problem with my eyes. So I thought it was because I am stressed or thinking too much.
Now every time, I feel the pain is starting already, I would take pain killer immediately so as to prevent the pain from getting worse. I would advice that you consult an eye doctor.
Have a nice day!

Hello Julyteen, you get sight problems if you don't take care of your eyes, keeping them late, then washing them while their tired can be fatal. some people have sight problems at the early age. I had far sight problem when i was heading into medical examination.i have eye glass but i may have to check my eyes again because i might need new glasses for my far sight problem. one of these days i might have my eyes checked too. yes, it does affect your head because all information that interprets by the brain is coming from the senses and the eyes are the senses of sight.

The best solution is to check her Doctor again and ask if are there any other tests your Sister should undergo to treat again the pain that she is suffering, going to the Ophthalmologist or EENT expert is also a great idea to do most especially that they are more hone on diagnosing such ailments your Sister had experienced.
It’s also best to ask for her Doctor if ever she was prescribed on medications that somehow put an after effect on your Sister’s pain resulting to a more severe head pain.

Yeah usually people with eyes problem will have a headache as a symptom. Usually eyes problem can be genetic too, so maybe there's 50 years old with perfect eyes health but 17 years old with eyes problem. It's so common that people think. But maybe it can be caused by study or workload as well, or bad habit like reading or watching up too close.

strain on the eyes can cause very bad headaches.even if she has pain killers and is still straining her eyes that why the headaache is persisting.my daughter had headaches at some point and when we took her to the doctor there was nothing wrong with her,but the headaches persisted and we decided to try a second opinion just to be referred to the opticians who found she was long sighted.its good to go they look at her eyes so that you deal with the problem and if its not her eyes then check on the cause with another doctor.
