Here sim card cost in increase by 50Rs. some day before the cost was 50 only now the shopkeeper demanding 100 rs. Not only for one Company like wodaphone or Tata Docomo but all sims.. Now net cost is also increased some days before providing 1GB in 125 Rs. for one month but now this is only for 21 days.
I think every shopkeeper taking the benefit of hiking price even the Company price is same but they sell to saying the cost is increased. What do you think only mobile shopkeeper doing this or really charges increased.

The first time I ever bought my sim card, it cost about $40! I didn't believe it was that much, but of course, during those times, the cellphone was kinda cool to have since not all really has it. But after more than 10 years, the cost dropped to less than $1. And I believe that it is the cause why there are a lot of people who owns more than one phone, because they could afford to buy the sim card. Even a student can afford to buy it without asking his parents to buy it for them.

I don't know what 50Rs is. Rupees? I wonder what that equals in the money we have here (dollars). That stinks that the cost went up though. Cell phones are already ridiculously expensive without hidden fees and the like. Ugh! My cell phone bill is close to $100 USD every month, which is ridiculous and definitely not worth the money. If they weren't so convenient and necessary, I would think about just throwing it in the trash!

Hi surekha
Not only sim card cost increased even some net work connections are closed and will be closed in future. Mine is aircel connection. Recently the company is closed and my number is not working. So bad. One of my friend she and her family members used only aircel connections all five of them. Now all their numbers are not working. We have to take new numbers. Also have to change the number given in bank for updates. Hmm so much work left.

Recently in Kerala I had seen most of the sim card with net offers are at sold out at a good rate about 70Rs to 150 Rs. In the past such sims with such offers were available to the users at low rates. I wonder why there is such a huge increase of the price of the sim in my region. I had seen that such a increase in the rate was added to every sim providers except reliance.

Sim Card manufacturers in my country does not put a big cost on their Sim Card pricing, so it’s more affordable here in my place because there are lots of consumers who buys sim cards since cellular phones is one necessity this generation.
