Good day Fellow Mylotters,
Getting the required number of sleep makes a man healthy. Hence, there is a saying goes, "early to bed, early to rise, makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise." And if you will not get the right amount of sleep, your body resistance might be at stake. A weaker body might be the result of it. And since your resistance will be weaker, illnesses and other sudden sickness may arise. Just like what my sister is experiencing right now. She feels some pain in her muscles since she cannot complete even at least a 6-hour of sleep. Because she was too busy with a lot of her activities. And though our body really needs an 8-hour sleep, hence, taking at least 6 to 7 hours will be sufficient enough to gain the lost energy during the days work. But, since my sister has a wide array of activities, so she is somehow suffering the consequence now.

I experience not having enough sleep these days because of so many things that I have to attend to. To add to my burden is the need to go to the office early because I need to travel for several kilometers.
After returning from work I have to attend to my online job. Having enough sleep is really tiring sometime but because I have to provide our family with their needs, I have to do it.

That is the thing I misses, to work in an office atmosphere. Before, I used to work in an office plus working on the evening shift for my online task and my body clock misses it very much. Wishing that it would be back again so I can earn more.

how lucky at your part since you didn't feel any pain. perhaps, try to take a vitamins once a week to gain an energy, hence, not to feel weak. so you can sustain more to manage your business well.

It depends on the lifestyle of a person but basically we need adequate sleep because it is when we sleep that our cells regenerate thus skin would look good and younger looking.
I am the person who sleep less because of the many things that needs to be done , health is at risk but sometimes no choice we loved our work and we have goals to be hit.
When i felt weakness because of lack of sleep , what i do is i nap for some minutes then back to normal routines. As they say , sleep is a luxury and if we'll keep on sleeping we will be left out also.

Very well said. I guess, taking a catnap is the best thing to do to gain another energy.

Yeah a person should take atleast 6-7 hours of sleep daily for the healthy body and sound mind. Lack of sleep affects attention, alertness, concentration, reasoning power and problem solving ability of a person. It can also contribute to the symptoms of depression. And also a person will have a weak memory due to lack of sleep. So you should encourage your sister to sleep daily for the required hours.

hello there intelinsideyou,
i do always remind my sister about her sleeping pattern but she refuse to listen because of her additional sidelines and other extra curricular activities. as a result, she feels a muscle pain today and that makes her weak.

According to the theory of Abraham Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs, sleep is part of the physiological needs of a human being. Every individual has it most basic levels of needs and one of them is sleep. In order for us to perform our daily activities and cope in everyday situation an individual must have a proper sleep routine. To maintain a healthy lifestyle and proper body mechanics, each person must spend at least 8 hours of sleep a day. It is important to know that we should always give our body a time to rest and sleep.

I feel worse most days if I get over 6, and wake up feeling worse. I have fibromyalga and function best off of 6. From time to time, especially when I am not feeling well, or overdone it, I find myself needing more. But personally for me 6 is my magic number. I think it often depends on each individual as they get older for sure.

SOme people sleep for a 1/2 hour every six hours. ANd there are other methods that don't seem right to me. The body needs a longer period(the 7-8 hours)to really get the rest they need. It takes a person about an hour to get to REM sleep.

exactly true as it will take a toll on your muscles and make you feel so feeble and also sick and you feel really exhausted at the end of the day without any comfort ,so ideal rest is needed at times to stress out the body for sure

You are absolutely right.Having required amount of sleep is necessary for good health. Our mind and body need sleep to get refreshed. If we don't have enough amount of sleep, your mind would not function well.Since mind is functioning well, body too gets lazy and sleepy. It will have an adverse effect on our daily life.It would also negatively affect our health.A sound sleep is necessary for our overall health.

So true. I cannot go on the day working without having even just a nap for the night before. Just the other day hubby and I went to send our dear friend to the airport for the US. They were here for more than a month and won't be back until after three years again, and because of that we never have a good sleep until the morning comes that day.
I was too lazy, tired and very sleepy. To tell you... I can't almost bring myself to eat and to think I am always up for food, but during this time I can trade a sleep over a good food.

Lots of theory said like what you said but i think it depends on the condition for todays, the days is different now, like in many big cities that known as 24 hours cities, or the city that never sleep, yes.. it's like in my city too which is traffic jam almost everywhere which is as normal time go to somewhere only need 30 minutes, but when working days need two or more hours to go that placed, and that's the problem when we go home from our office to our home that average need about 2 hours and when get home we need together with our family, teaching our kids for school lessons and other thing, and see .. the time almost 24 clock, and should be get up at 4 or 5 am.
Health is good but some reality is not the same as we think like what we want to do.
