Have you ever tried having your scalp scrubbed in order to remove dandruff? Well, a friend of mine was talking about this service, that she is actually having this kind of service every month. She goes to a local beauty salon that does this and she described the entire process which to me sounded so relaxing. I immediately felt I wanted to have one too. Since I have my own beauty salon where I frequent, I did not go to her beauty salon. I told the lady that I wanted hair spa (that was the name of the service my friend availed). I even told her that I wanted scrubbing of the scalp. Well, she did start the service by scrubbing my scalp but it was too short. It was not what my friend had described. I was so disappointed. Next time, I am going to my friend's beauty salon for that service. Have you ever been dissatisfied with a service rendered to you? Discuss your woes here.

I scrub my own scalp while shampooing. I know it's different in the saloon because it's more relaxing but since it's about dandruff I just use shampoo for oily hair or head. It's usually where my dandruff starts, from oily head for not washing my hair after 2 days.

Hi this is better .But i guess they have some techniques in the parlor for relaxation . If the service is good we can visit but such service is not found in every parlor that's the problem.

Shampoos sometimes only add to the problem. I think it is the source of the problem when you don't rinse properly.

hi I never heard about this scalp scrubbing . Hmm sounds interesting. But i agree not every parlor have the same kind of work or service. It's not only with scrubbing but it also happens with hair cut and wash and other things too. When we are not satisfied with their service some of them do a kind of argument that they are right and we dont know anything. Hmm this annoys me .

That's a good service for your friend. When I was China, there is a certain salon that provides a service for shampooing the hair while lying down. I fell so relax and the muscle tension was relaxed after.

Yeah, parlors will shampoo your hair for you and the fee is very cheap as well.

Here in mexico when someone has that kind of problem... they wash their hair with pure lemon juice. It will take care of the problem. Of course if you have scratched alot... it may sting some..

Oh , be careful going for scalp scrubbing , go to the expert and don't go for go somebody whom you don't know that much and not an expert , remember it is a head part procedure might be scalp will be irritated , so better don't take risk instead do the shampooing by yourself patiently , soon those dandruff will be removed.

I have never heard of this, and it does sound relaxing and I am sure would be really good for your scalp and hair, and help it to grow better as well. But there have been many times I have went and wanted to get something done, and been disappointed. I once got and paid for a regular massage and it was not the Best experience. For some reason due to the person being newer it just felt awkward having her doing it and not feeling as relaxed as I would have thought I would be.

I don't think a scalp scrub would help. It is about other things such as diet and the type of shampoo, etc it is as well. To scrub my hair and scalp would be actually bad I would think.

It is? But dandruff usually resides in the scalp, so beauty salons do that as part of dandruff treatment.

I guess each place is different, and we expect different services. You went in expectiing a certain service but didn't get that. Was there a difference in a price? I may ask my salon if they do this, as I find the shampoo, and scalp just builds up and tends to get itchy.

Hi 911! I think each salon has different prices for their services. I think you could use that kind of service to ease your scalp from these tiny white flakes.
