Flower Festival in Baguio City is one of the country's most crowded festival drawing foreign and local tourist this month of February.
All my bags are packed and I am ready to go.
But I don't want to miss everyone, not MyLot.
I wish to be here and mylotting like the same way as I always did.
But of course, I want to enjoy this vacation as well.
The Flower Festival will start on February 1 until March 3, 2013.
With a lot of activities and I can't wait for the Grand Float Parade on February 24, 2013.
See you there guys...
It's more fun in the Philippines

Just like what you've seen in the books, its a colorful event.
Imagine a fantasy land with all the flowers , float of flowers and people walking dressed in flowers

Fair warning - it's gonna be a crush over there and get some really warm clothes. You might want to wear many clothes during the night.

hello jeanney,
That's one thing that I really miss and I want to experience.
I live there (Baguio City) its my hometown butc currently I lived here in metro city.
We always spend our summer vacation in my hometown to avoid the heat.
I am so excited to feel the cold weather once again - it is much colder this month of February compared to December.
Thanks for your comment and have a great day dear

So that explains for your excitement, jaiho. I think it's not mainly the flower festival nor the cold weather that there is, but it's the excitement of being with your family that makes you wanna go there.
It's like hitting two birds in one stone, right jaiho ? Enjoy your hiatus.

I would Love to eventually visit the Phillipines. I have friends who are from there, and have seen pictures of there and it really sounds like an interesting country. And I know since I love most Fillipino food, this is something I could live off of for sure. Enjoy your time there, and try to come in here and post if you can.

I’ve never been to Baguio though I have been to Luzon for quite a while. It must’ve been fun having such of a festival vacation. I love joining festivities because it brought up cultural influences and the sense of appreciation of our unique Filipino Culture.
Sadly, I am done having my 3 day escapade on Cebu City last Sinulog festival and tell you, it’s still is spectacular.
Have fun!

You may take along your laptop or go mobile and login whenever you can. The flower Festival? If I have the power, I would move this event to either October or November when all the sunflowers are in bloom; when the hillside turns golden with this yellow wild flowers especially along the historic Kennon Road. Wow.

hello toyota,
I understand, but during these month- the season is still not good since it's rainy season.
It's hard to draw more tourist to come when it's raining.

I've never hear this festival before, sounds great, I wish I could go too. and Wish you a happy trip. In China, we have the similar festival holded in Yunnan every year. Yunnan is famous for it's beautiful flowers and warn weather. There is a saying in China: All year just like spring. That means you will always feel like in spring when you live there

I envy you jaiho2009, I really don't have enough time to go to Baguio for a very relaxing vacation. The funny thing is I was there in Baguio 12 years ago and was a cadet at a military school there. I still didn't get the chance to enjoy the Flower Festival since I went back home during the holidays. I think me and my family will try to go there on this year's Flower Festival.

hello rsa,
This festival draws a lot of tourists.
Actually, the place (Baguio City) is now loaded with expectators.
Since the lowest temperature ever recorded for the past decade- lots of people want to experience the cold weather.
My brother told me that the place looks like a glimmering crystal in the morning with the frozen morning mist. (woooohhhh- I can't wait to see it myself)
Thanks and have a great day

Yes the theme for this year is “ A blooming Odyssey”
The festival will start on February 1 - the opening ceremony and also the start of competition for the whole month (landscaping design, banner and poster design and a lot more)
Here's the reason why Baguio City celebrate this flower festival.

Are you going to take home some strawberries? Baguio vegetables and Peanut brittle on your way home? Are you going to buy some souvenirs on your upcoming vacation. Are you going to post pictures here? Seriously right now I a jealous of every single person who is going to have a vacation because I am currently stuck in a cold office surrounded by miserable people.

hello Capt,
Yes, I will be taking home all those stuffs since my relatives especially my closest cousin will come handling me a lot of stuffs each time I spend a vacation back home.
Oh, I forgot- I live in Baguio but lived here in metro city since I got married and only spend x-mas and summer vacation with my siblings back home.
But what is so special with this vacation?
This will be my first time to experience and witness a whole month activities of Penagbenga
I'll be leaving tomorrow with my mom (she will arrive tomorrow coming overseas).
I understand your situation, but don't let those miserable faces affect your mood (hahaha)
Have a great day Capt
