Rape! A pressing matter

The crying, the pain and even the thought when the word “rape” is mentioned. It has become widespread and troubling in society. Why cannot these ‘mature’ men use their muscles for labor? Why can’t they leave the weak and feeble girls of all sizes alone? This morning, I heard a body got dumped in a town nearby; it was that of a 14 year old girl who had hitched a ride in attempt to reach school early. Just a few more days until the autopsy is complete. Just a few more days before the bruises unveil; it will be shocking, outrageous and disappointing but not surprising.

Renhard...you have made a very good point...I think rapes are because there is no outlet to that need for physical exercise...we dont have as many play grounds, and we dont encourage children to play...studies get more prominence...after all, career depends upon it...but if people got to play and remained active in that way, chances are girls would have enough muscles to save themselves, and guys would be busy competing with guys...and have less time to think about secs...may be some study needs to be done in this direction.

First responder made a very good point indeed. I know of a case where a strong man got raped by another man. In that case I see strength didn't really help. He was still helpless. More study would help indeed.

Yeah..strength prevents that power from overtaking, right? Strength and wit...and good reflexes..

Yes that is so. For those who survive to tell the tale, I wonder how it impacted their lives.

Rape is one of the cruel & bitter truth of our society. It's opressing someone with power. It's tragic that most of the cases didn't even come out. Both men & women but mostly women are the victims .Women should raise their voice against it. Women should be taught self defence techniques at an early stage . Men generally don't admit that they're raped thinking who will believe them. They should bring it out to get justice.

It is cruel and bitter. How to you think society could remove such abuse? Any idea at all.

Oh sorry about that, it slipped my mind. I have notice that, especially when males are the victims. They feel scared that society will treat them different, look at them as weak. But many also speak but what have that done so far, or what should it do? An out cry from rape victims will put the whole country in rage but even then the culprits or soon to be culprits don't back down. Some of them like the challenge.

I quoted some things above. Well the most important thing is raising voice against it. Most of the time the victims don't let it come out due to the fear of insult in the society. They've to speak. They've to rise for the justice.

Men who rape women are men who must feel complete power over someone. Sometimes to the point of killing them. Depends on how much of a problem with power they have.

SO look at the incident I referred to. The rape the little 14 year old girl trying to reach school, then kill her, then drop her body somewhere in the town and drive away. Isn't that heartless. To even know she was on her way to school of all places. Well I assume she was on her way to school seeing that she was in her school uniform and stuff.

To be honest I don't understand why people rape. I mean isn't it easier to just leave an innocent person alone? Why waste energy doing something like that? It is also too bad that we can't kill the rapist in order to defend ourselves. I mean if the rapist is just injured and you manage the get away. Who knows that the rapist will come and get you for revenge and give you triple the pain. If the rapist is arrested he will find some way to get out of prison or he will be release back into the society again. (Rapists rarely repent for their actions and locking them up forever only takes up too much space in prison and not to mention the tax payers money to keep them alive in there)

I know in some countries other prisoners are so touchy about rape especially if you do it with under age children; they will brutally kill you in prison. Not the enforcers but just under prisoners.

rape is always brutal and has no reason to excuse. Its perhaps manifestation of highest level of frustration. And rape to a 14 yrs girl ... its just ridiculous.

very sad to hear that news. Innocence of the very young lady is already abducted as well as her soul. That is just so annoying, I wonder if that man did that can still sleep peacefully. He is just not a raper but also a killer. May she rest in peace.

Those people are either born criminals or born around criminals. Those horrible actions are deep rooted into them. I bet he sleeps very peacefully in fact. That is just the way they are, brutal and don't care. After getting away with a few crimes, they realize that sometimes the police just doesn't the strength and power to catch up to them so why worry. I feel really touch by the incident. Especially since it was a child.

I agree with the first response it has to do with someone wanting control over someone else. It has nothing to do with anything else in my opinion. I think they want what they want and they want it now. Rape is a way to get what they want and a way to have control over another person...

I respect your views and believe it or not do not understand what prevails in their mind, “rapists”. This has truly become a matter of concern now and actually has started the buildup of a foundation. Aren't they taught to respect females? Can’t they simply consider females as a simple human beings rather than treating them as a toy for their “fun”? This has been the question which seems to have no satisfactory answer. Rape has its root which are difficult to be uprooted. Why so? This may be because it is an issue which concerns the basics. Because no one probably can make the culprit understand as he himself. This disrespect for women is needed to be swept out of his mind. Punishments are never an answer. This problem needs to be pondered over. And without any delay!

Rape, usually happen and did by someone who wish to control someone else with power. And since female usually are weaker physically, so the men tried to gain control over the women. I hate someone who can't control their desire like that though, desire to gain a control over someone. Who like to feel the fear of someone weaker than him. Rapist is the lowest person!

This is horrible, why do these men, mess with these young girls, when they have all these women out here, that would want a man to, deal with them, this man that did this is nothing but a Pig, and I hope that catch him,and give him what he deserves, long jail time 150years

To be honest I doubt it is a man but rather men. THese type of people don't usually do these things by them selves. It is usually group gang bang, if that is what it is called. The search is already on. So far the only leads the police have was that the body was dumped out of a silver Mitsubishi car. I just hope they find them and punish them like how they should be punished.
