I was watching a lot of cooking videos on Youtube and while I was watching a recipe for a carrot cake I instantly remembered the taste of a raw carrot. I actually like eating a carrot when it is cooked - like steam, sauteed or even on a cake but I don't like eating it on it's own. So, I want to know, is anyone else out there is just like me? What are the foods that you prefer to eat cooked rather than raw and to eat raw rather than cooked? Examples of food that I would like raw will be apples. I don't like apple pie that much.

I'm probably wrong, but I remember somewhere that steaming or cooking vegetables you actually lose the nutrients in them. But some steamed or cooked jsut taste better and vice versa. I prefer squash cooked rather than raw. But I prefer celery raw rather than cooked.

I have to say i am just like you, even i don't like eating raw carrot i also prefer it cooked and prepared and i like apples raw. Other stuff would be a raw banana, i would like a raw banana and cooked chicken for e.g.

Oh I love tomatoes too. I love the green ones raw but the red ones cooked. I heard that you get the full benefit of tomatoes like the lycopene and all the good stuff when they are cooked.
