Today was an excellent day for my near and dear ones . I made lunch for my boyfriend which he loved and shared with his mother.Later in the evening I spent almost 2 hours walking and talking with my mother and I felt so happy with her. How do you feel that you are really special for some particular people on earth?

My Mom passed away 5 years ago at 84 years old. She was my best friend and confidante. We used to go shopping, out to eat and go to Casinos about once a month. I miss her cooking and wish I had some of her recipes. You just don't think about those things when they are alive. She was the most awesome person in the world.

I love taking my mom out and stroll around in some flea markets. We usually end up buying nothing or something that we don't really need bu the experience is what really makes it very memorable. After that we usually have some coffee or some ice cream. Most of the time we just talk and talk and talk but its fun. Now that I live thousands of miles away from her I miss her and the stuff we do.

It sounds like you had an awesome day! That's great that you got out and went for a walk with your mother. Seniors need to get some exercise each day and sometimes needs company or motivation. Walking and talking is a great way to do that and also spend some quality time with an elder.
I usually take my mom somewhere she wants to go. She loves to browse at the Goodwill Store or resale shops. I guess that is where I get my love for browsing at antique stores! I like to go with her to the resale shops too though because you never know what you will find.
