A pleasant day Fellow Mylotters,
I do always gives my full understanding to all of my friends. Whether they are online nor offline, my acceptance for them is incomprehensible. But, there is just a thought came across my mind, what if, one day, I shout out one secret about me, I wonder what would be the reaction of my friends. I mean, what they will going to say and comment if they found out something about me. Would they still accept me for what I am after divulging a secret.

Hi airasheila, it depends what kind of secret you have and what kind of people your friends are.. may be some of them start avoiding you after that, some may be shocked earlier but then normal, some may remain unaffected with your secret. your secret may hurt some friends, but real friends dont leave you in any situation, any secret can not change a real friend..

I guess it depends to your friends. Some maybe won't mind your secret and some will be really shocked. Some might not accept you as their friends anymore. But for sure, some will be your friends forever. You won't know what will be their reactions until you reveal one of your deepest secrets. LOL. Thanks for sharing and happy mylotting.

Yes, I'm back here. LOL. Though I'm not yet so active. Oh, why? Do you want to reveal one of your secrets? I guess it's better if you'll just tell your close friends about it. Everyone shouldn't know about it.

I am a strong believer in that no one has the right to judge us for who we are or what we are, and true friends should accept you for the way you are, if they don't then you have to question whether they are actually friends in the first place. Usually you can gauge how your friends react when you tell them something, true friends stay with you and won't run a mile whatever your secret is. Sometimes it's only when you reveal something about yourself that you know who your true friends are.

a pleasant day wolfie34,
absolutely. nobody has the right to judge for who we are and true friends should really accept for what we are. otherwise they are not a real friend at all. hence, they just stay because they get something.

Hi aira!
You are the only one who can decide if you reveal your secret or not. But as for me whatever or whoever you are, I will always be your friend.
Have a nice day!

I think their reaction is base on what kind of secret you told them.

you have a point on that. and i guess, i should learn how to use words that would not make them react too much.

Well share your secret & wait & watch. Your real friends will might get shocked at first but accept you as you are & the ones who'll react badly & start to criticize you, they're not your friends.
So don't be afraid telling your secret, your friends will not turn their back to you at least I won't.

hi r0cker,
precisely, my friends for sure will be shocked and asked what happened. but i guess, i should also accept if the moment of truth comes.

Well, if you think that they consider you as a good friend, then anything else wouldn't matter much.....Not unless you tell them that you are a member of a cult or something that needs to offer a sacrifice and needs one of your friend to be the sacrificial lamb!

hi,
no one here in mylot really knows me a lot about me,so i don't need to worry when i put all my secrets here in mylot, aside from that all comments and response are all acceptable and i respect it,in my staying here for hoe many years i still never heard any from my friends those negative comments though i had some but still consider it as an idea and opinion of others.

Thanks a ton for sharing this discussion. Well i can understand your situation very well and i know u must be having so many thoughts in your mind regarding revealing that secret. I think when u would reveal that secret, the friends who would accept u would be your real friends and those who would stay away after hearing the secret are your fake friends.
What say?

We have always to bear in mind that friendship has no barrier. If in case you will divulge your secret to a person, that is where you can figure out whether he or she is your true friend by the way they accept you. If in case they accept you as you are then you are blessed because they are what you call your true friend. Regardless of everything, as long as you are true to yourself, be happy.

It depends on if the secret might hurt your friends, like cheating with your best friend's mate. If they're "true" friends it won't matter, they might say "Really, I didn't know that" or they might even say "I already knew that." If they can't accept your secret then I guess it's their loss.

Well if you're not stepping on any toes by divulging that secret i guess there is no harm done. It might even make you feel free-er. Either way, i dont see it a s a bad thing.
