i want to be rich

i envy my rich cousin. i saw her work hard to be where she is right now. it's a rough journey but she triumphed in the end. i was thinking i wanted to be rich like her. i would love to travel to a lot of places i could only see in pictures. i know they say money can't buy happiness but i think money can buy things that can make you happy. i would also like to sponsor charities that help other people and send deserving students to school. come on who doesn't want to be rich? as long as you don't hurt anyone on your way up, i guess it's okay.

there is no reason to envy your cousin when you can also do it. there are many lessons we can learn from successful people. you are fortunate because you can have her as your model to the top. i think you can be successful if you will it. but do not dwell much on the end, focus on the process of making it. as you observed from her, work hard and reward will be given.

I agree. Envy will only make you green and prevent you from seeing a path that you can take so that you too can become successful and happy like your cousin. Besides, anything worthwhile to have in your life needs you to work for it to earn it. And I agree with mensab. At least you have your cousin as a role model. You can at least ask for her assistance on how to reach where she is today--or more. Try seeing things on how she sees things. From what I know, rich people have a different perspective in life compared to those who work only to retire penniless in the end.

Yeah, money can't buy us happiness. It only encourages me to be greedy. But I agree that money can buy us things that would make us happy. Such as the food I eat and the herbs I need for my health. I, myself, wants to be rich as well: Money-rich, land-rich and love-rich. Money is only necessary for our daily needs because me and my family live in the city. Had I been living in remote areas where the livelihood depended on crops and such, I wouldn't have any need for it aside for using it to pay for bills and taxes that goes with modern technology. I'd say that it's a good thing that you want to be rich and that you have a cousin who became such. You can learn so much from her. Ask her to teach you how to think bigger than most people--to become rich. More than having material things like her, you should learn how to take into yourself the discipline required to become rich despite your current resources. I was told, anyways, that being rich is not on material possession. But on one's perspective. No matter how much you currently have, you can become one if only you know how to think like one. Then, you'll do the things the rich does to acquire their material possessions--that goes without saying of course, being generous with others far more than most people can comprehend. Hope you'll do well in becoming one soon. Have a nice day!

Sorry but I don't want to engage in any game of chance like buying a raffle ticket of any lottery. Constant hardwork I think will result good economy in yourself someday.

no one really gets rich without hard work and perseverance. unless you win the lottery. but i think you can really be successful in your life some day.

well, there's nothing wrong with the game of chance but you must not depend wholly on them. there is little chance on winning there. the game in the real world is harder but there's a greater chance of winning.

With riches come responsibilities. You are wise not to want to hurt anyone on the way up. You need, also, to be careful not to hurt yourself.

Well, don't be envy to them. Just do your best to be rich someday and most importantly, you are contented in what you have. The true rich is the one who contented in what they posses in life.

there's nothing wrong with being content with what you have and there's also nothing wrong with wanting more. it's just that you do it the right way.

Hard work and smart moves. I mean, you won't want to become an employee forever, right? And because if you stop working in the end you'll become poor again if you remain only an employee.

i know it really requires hard work and i really am determined this time around especially since i saw how she did it.

I think it would be a lot more comfortable to be rich. I work for a lot of rich families and they certainly have fewer worries. I'm not saying their lives are perfect, but they certainly have quite a few resources.

Yes, I want to be rich too. I am working hard all my life and earning a reasonable income but the money is just not enough for me to indulge in what I want to do such as traveling. I did go to a few places but I always needed to budget very tightly. I wish that I will be able to go anywhere in anyway just as I wish. I have to admit that I do enjoy very much staying in five star hotels.

Hi! I bet the right word to use here is wealth rather than rich. Wealth have to do with money (riches), prosperity, sound mind and good health. Rich is more on the side of money only. If I am wealth, I also have all the happiness. I will rather say I want to be wealthy. Take Care!

really? there's that distinction between the two words? now i understand. i wanna be wealthy.

Yes money is good when we use it for goods. I also want to be rich and happy. I like to earn a lot of money to full fill all of my wishes and to help others. to make more happiness. I read if you do step by step mimicking of successful one the result you will get will be the result he or she got it.

Well, you're right, who does not want to be rich? To me, I just want to be financially-free. If it's the same with being rich, then so be it. I just don't want worrying about money that much. I believe that being rich has a lot of downside as well as being poor, I mean it has pros and cons, right? I know someone who earns well, no worries about money, travels a lot, and sends his children to the best schools, but sometimes I hear him complain about other things. Mostly the problems that cannot be solved by money. Then I realized, I'm still luckier than that man. I may not have money as much as he has, but I'd rather choose my way of life now than be in his situation. I mean I can work hard to earn and be financially free, right? Don't be envious with your cousin, but instead let him serve as your inspiration to work hard and succeed like him.

i'm really using my envy to the positive side. don't worry. she's like my inspiration and motivation to have a better life. i think everyone has problems. even rich people. life is really fair with giving problems to everyone.

A lot of us do want to get rich because of all the opportunities that comes along with it. However, not all has the same patience and probably the right skill and attitude to become one. It is also hard to be one especially if the way that we know is not the right formula to achieve success. There is no short cut in being successful. One should take time in understanding things and leatn to cope with fhe trials that comes along the way.
• Philippines

i agree with you that here really is not shortcut to success. and i also think that if you really worked hard for it, you will learn to appreciate more that you'll take care of it not to be taken away from you.
