I am so stressed out this week! Apart from the lessons I have to discuss in class, I have two major papers to write for my graduate studies and I have 15 writing articles to work on, plus an all-day tutorial with a Korean national on Saturday! What do you guys do when you have so much to do? Should I just give up sleeping then?

Thanks a ton for sharing this discussion. Well i can understand your case and that sounds really too much of work for u at present. to be very honest, whatever happens never compromise with your sleep. unless and until u do not get a proper sleep u cannot stay active and fresh to carry forward these tasks. so plan out every thing and then take sleep as well.
What say?

Hi ! Oh my you're the busiest guy in town ! Take it easy , do it one after the other! Be systematic , those work were a blessing , be grateful for them . You can do it but you need also to rest . I know 24 is so lacking for you to finish all your day's task , don't worry that much , if you can't finished it now then tomorrow am sure you will have it done all. Important thing is you are not pushing too hard to the extent of risking health and you enjoyed your work ! God bless.

I tend to chunk my time. That way I'm not constantly thinking about all the other things I have to do, and I'm more focused. So if I set myself to one task, I can usually get it done more quickly.
I think you may have overextended yourself though.

There have been plenty of times that I have wanted to give up and to be honest I nearly have given up on people as well as things.
I feel defeated before I even get started even on simple tasks.Dont give in, as giving in is so easy, all you can do is try your best, you never know you may get all what you need to do done.

You are doing good. Just make some priorities. Which is the first and second and the least priority. And pray.

I find it helps to make a list, preferably the night before. My lists are usually too long so I never get to the bottom of them but somehow having them lowers my tension and helps me to feel in control.

Wow! You're a really busy person, honestly I can't even think what I would do if I were in your place. I think the best thing to do is do one task at a time. If you try to do them all at once, you'd probably mess up in any of those. But if you've been doing those things for a long time, I'm sure you can do that! Good luck to you!

Definitely not! Depriving yourself from sleep will not let you perform well and let your mind function properly, Better have sufficient amount of rest prior to making all your responsibilities.

Hi,
Times like that, the best I can do is relax, take a walk around, go to the beach, watch a movie or play my favorite sport. The point is not to put undue stress on the system so it can function properly and be able to tackle the tasks at hand, swiftly and accurately.

6. do the necessary things.

9. do it because you have to do it.. it is in the list.

If i got many things to do, I will list the tasks to do and manage my time to finish my job. I can keep away for 48 hours to do something. But, more than 48 days, I will give up, take a sleep for 3 hours, and then continuing the tasks. When I finishing my thesis writing, I had to finish 2 chapters in 2 days. I was very sleepless, But finally I can finish my thesis and some other tasks in 2 days.

It's really hard when you are so behind your task..I'm that kind of person who always not complete my task.i'm a student and i always have much to do before exam.
From my personal experience i don't give you the idea to give up sleep.Giving up sleep will slow down your progress toward's your work and you will remain further behind the work. I had tried out lot of time in examz i do go late to bed and awake early in morning.Which end's up in tiring.Must sleep minimum 8 hours that will increase your progress towards your task.Hopefully u will like my experience and try to get some thing out of this.

HEHE, this has happened to me several times and most recent was yesterday. I have so much things to do and i am unable to finish it if i would spend time eating or sleeping. Luckily i was able to just prioritize what i need for the day and focus on finishing them. What happened next then was that i was able to have 4 hours sleep and head to work earlier than usual. I was able to send out and provide the requirements needed to me=)
So when you have so many things to do, just go ahead and tryy to prioritize which one you think needs to be done first and then start with that, the rest will then come be done later on. =)

I usually organize my time. I make a time table and make sure i stick to them. Even my nap is included. If there's just too many things to do, I sacrifice my nap.
Take it easy. Relax for 5 minutes and then grab a paper and a pen and note down your schedule. Allot a time for each things you do and try to estimate how much time you need to finish them. The more they are visible to your eyes, the more you will see that you can do it.

I also experience this thing most of the time bunnystarr so I understand your situation.
It's just a good thing that my children are already grown ups and they don't need to be taken care of unlike when they were young. But there are really other things which I used to do that I cannot do anymore since I started working online.
I became so busy with my work and almost no more time for recreation. But I do sleep early because I know that sleeping is really needed by our body. I just have to wake up early everyday in order to do the things that are needed to be done.
Have a nice day!

When I have so much to do, I just start doing it! Work is work, and it will not do itself or finish itself. I will still take the necessary breaks that I need, and even sleep because the more that I have to work, the more that I need to be in good condition.

I write my schedule for the next day before I sleep. I started doing this when I was in elementary because my mother wants us to write the things that we're going to do the next day including household chores. Do not give up and try to arrange all your schedules for the day. I also have so much to do everyday but I'm able to do everything. But the sleep that I'm getting is not more than 5 hours. It's tiring sometimes.

Hi, bunny!
Nice to hear you story!Well, being stressed out is absolutely not good for your health. You might just take a breath and close your eyes outside for 5 minutes. For me,I don't really have too much thing to do,basically browse internet for news and chat with people.
