Once again, I made it through the night. whew.. everyday is a survival day, we wake up in the morning.... we work ... we sleep. Every day is such a day that maybe some of us were bored and some of us find it exciting. Every day I make sure that I find my day exciting otherwise, I will surely pack my things and go back home. Hmmm do you think I am going crazy here, alone and in an alien land, when finding someone who speaks English is a fortune to me.
Anyway, for you back there sitting at the comforts of your home and warm love, attention and care of your family, I think you have more than a thousand reasons to smile.. maybe you have a million reasons to smile.
Cry? naaaaahhh that will just make me look old and miserable.
Yes, there are hundreds of reason for me to cry here, low pay, too spicy food, alone, noisy neighbor who just find it amusing to shout at the middle of the night when everyone are already sleeping... and of course being away from the family. hmmmm.. why whine to all those things when I have a thousand reasons to smile
1. I wake up in the morning. 2. I hear the birds chirping at this quiet morning. 3. cold breeze of the air. 4. sun rising.. such a brilliant sight. more.. more.. more
Today is going to be better than yesterday!
Have a great day !.... smile because there are a thousand reasons

@Mavic123456 I hope it's ok to ask, but are you still feeling similar to how you mentioned here?
I'm glad that you still find reasons to feel fortunate! That is nice.

Yes, I agree one hundred percent. There are thousand reasons to smile so why frown? We look more beautiful when we smile. It takes more muscles when we frown but less than ten to smile so why use more? Smiling is one of the keys to being beautiful and healthy. A merry heart is reflected in your face. If you frown, then that means you are a sad person. But sadness should not reign your heart. Overcome it with a very positive attitude, be happy. Smile and give more smiles as much as you can.

Hi daughter
Thanks for sharing how you feel in a foreign land, this i may also call as homesickness too, living alone without a family makes one think so many things, he/she may think absurd things too.
Since you work there you have to keep your mind cool.

Wow, I needeed that post to lift me up too. Even I have hundreds of reasons to complain and cry. But I too try and focus on the present moment, those small things, and it just makes me feel better. I think the more we focus on our problems, the more sad we feel. The more we focus on the just being alive and the wonderful things around us, the happier we feel. Life is good! Could do without the stress though :)

Hey Mavic, wonderful thoughts. We always tend to focus on the negatives, find things to complain about and count the miseries. However if we just begin to count our blessings and focus on positives, I am sure the list will be longer and in fact never ending. Each day is special, different and better, if we make it so. The choice is ours. Life is what we make of it!!!Smile!!!

Yes, it is our lives... make the best of it while we have it.
Negatives are just normal courses.. otherwise, our lives will be boring... so turn these negatives to positives. yepeeee

There are both good and bad things happening to our life. So we have a hundred of reasons to cry, we would also have a lot of reasons to smile and be happy. People always say that we have 2 choices, we can either live our life with a smile or we can live through our life in sorrow and regretful way. I believe anyone reading this would be clever to enough to make the right choice for him or her.

We are in the same boat. I am away from my family too, rent a room to live by myself. I have boyfriend but he is in another part of this world. Sometimes I feel so lonely when I wake up in the morning and no one greet me "good morning" But I know all my loneliness today will be pay off someday with my hard work. There is no need to cry, no one will wipe the tears. It's better to keep smile and strong. There will always someone from a far will pray for us.

Hi,
you are right. Smile is very important in your life. You are never fully dressed you wear a smile. We smile in the same language. There is no difference in the smile of the poor and the rich person. We should try to take time to smile, because it is the music of the soul.
There are many ways to smile in life. With very small things in life we can smile. But we have to change our attitude. we should be positive. If we always think about the negative things then we can not smile in our life. So we should try to find reasons for smiling ourselves.

That's a good way of handling homesickness. I can totally understand what you're feeling right now as I used to work away from my family as well. Now, I am still away from them just because I am married now and I migrated to my husband's country. I still miss them but at least I am with my new family now.

Oh like I said in your other post, in order to survive, find happiness. I am bored at home in another country with some problems if I think about my family back in Philippines but I still find happiness in every little things, I have to because if I don't, I'll go crazy.
