Internet Addiction

That sounds a lot like me but really I couldn't care less what these studies say. Yeah I am antisocial, but I was like that way before I even got a computer. When I moved to Texas when I was 10 I had no friends just family (and some of that family I don't even like). So I spent a lot of time alone and by myself; I had a few friends here and there but most of my school years in Texas were spent getting picked on because I was different. Now I don't care much if I get picked on but I don't really deal with people just because I don't live in the city anymore and barely leave my house. I'm okay with it though, its my life and although it may suck sometimes at least I have my internet and I can work and I can be by myself (at least until my mom gets home and starts being annoying).

Yes, I agree with you. I am also the victim of internet. I am addicted to the internet. Every day I always connected to the internet and browsing all things what in my head. I cannot enjoy my life without the internet. I am wondering of how can I am not boring of the internet for about 12 years. Internet makes my life become a less socializing person. I think I need to stop this bad habit, and make a social balance of living for me.

My computer is on all of the time, though I am not always on it. I will stroll over to it throughout the day and check things out or look something up. I'm not an addict. I could quit at anytime.

OMG, maybe I am already part of the statistics! But I am still in denial, I guess. For one, I have some online work. Then I am living thousands and miles away from my family now so I am online most of the time so I can instantly connect with them whenever they are up, I am in a different time zone now you see. Of course I still have life outside the Internet. But yeah because of my current activities, I think I am using the Internet more than my friends.

I am on my computer a lot, I can get off my computer any time I want to , I only go to earning web sites, if I am not earning online, I will be out shopping, with the money I earn online,I guess that is why I like earning online, because I can do what ever I want to do ,I can be online if I want to, and I can not be online if I want to, I have my own work schedule, and my own work hours, so everything is the way, I want it to be.

I'm not a big internet addict like you & I dont be online 24X7. I generally spend 6-8 hours on internet a day. I try to not use internet but couldn't resist myself. It's too difficult to stay away from internet coz it has become a very important part of our lives.

There is a high tendency for people to remain online nowadays. With lots of informative sites and free downloadable software, many people are able to find sources to fulfill their particular interests. I have known of some people who can spend more than eight hours online. It is probably an addictive behavior, but some people have to spend this, and more amounts of time, because they've found a way of living on the internet.

oh, that's scary. i don't want to be an internet addict but i think i'm getting into that situation that's why i tell myself to go online for just a maximum of 2 hours a day but i always exceed. computer radiation is really bad for our health and i think it's also the cause why i have pimples today, haha.

nice questions buddy. i can't stop my self for being in front of my computer. and mostly hours is i spend for internetting. may be i can spend my time 8-13 hours/a day in front of my pc for online.

Well i do admit that i am addicted to the internet. I think it is my life, I am contented even just at home as long there is internet connection. On the other hand, my life would be a little boring if i do not have internet. So much to do with computer if you have net. Such as, you can still talk with your love ones, friends even if they so far away from you. You can download free your fave songs, movies and read all you want. You will never get bored when you have the Internet. I'm using it for good not for games or some creepy things .

i myself is a computer addict but i dont usually think of hooking up much because i am addict on earning online. some may be addict on games, chats, but myself tends to be addicted one earning while enjoying. :)

actually when we are online and use the computer and surfing site we do not know how time is going and just we see ooofffff how long is that my cp is on?

Im 12 hoursat the most on the net, it's part of my JOb and if theres anything im hooke was facebook until..I became a mylotter. I spend the around the same time in work and here in mylott. I can't keep myself off from mylot. While working I'd still check snd drop a comment or discussion in between hours. Mylot consumes most of my time on the net since the day I registered. Before, it facebook who took most of my time of the day, it was so addicting to fault. But now I realize I don't really get anything from FB otther than wasted and unproductive time. I learned a lot here in mylot , the topics are interesting and my fellow mylotters are more genuine that my fb friends who most of the time brag and flaunt their pics just about nonsense. I'm officially hooked on the net because of mylott. Im not into games, I stop Fb, too.

It's really a valuale and knowledge able discussion.Now a day's we see more addiction of internet then other thing's. Addiction of anything is bad.I do use internet 15 hour's a day approximately.Now a days semester break and i am here more than 20 hour's. I thing a can spent a day without food but it hard to stay away from internet.
