If you start feeling being unhappy and not satisfied with your work, I believe that it is high time to ask yourself whether to quit or to continue working. It can be tough to decide for you have to consider many factors. If you feel like being bored with your job, would you quit? What factors will you consider in your decision?

Hi, I hope that you are fine. I work online too, so I have no place to move, and I take care both of my home and kids, and of my online business. When I get bored of selling the same things, I just switch to another segment with another suppliers and items, and it depends also in the season of the year to switch items, because I sell some seasonal jackets. That´s all.
But not my husband, he is bored of his work, and I am very concerned and worried about him. I´m affraid of new changes, I don´t like big changes. I don´t like he is thinking of changing job, switching to a new one makes me very nervous.
Blessings... dainy

I would ask myself the following questions:
1. Why am I thinking this way?
2. Have I thought about the family?
3. Is it just my pride that is causing this unhappiness?
4. Who will feed the family?
5. What could be worse than what already is so I can count my blessing instead.
Of course everyone hope they can throw in the towel when they are unhappy at work, but is it reasonable to forgo the job totally. Will you regret hasty decision or do you trust your own hasty decisions? Use your experience to gauge what you should do.
What are your factors for consideration anyway?

I agree with you opinion tiffnkeat. We should always consider the consequences when trying to make decisions especially if it is about our job.
Have a great day!

Hi dorisday, you are very right. Job satisfaction is very important to adopt with the working environment. Otherwise you will face problem in all through the service career. You cannot show your full job efficiency, if you cannot accept the job and if you are not satisfied with the environment. So, to utilize your best efficiency, you must accept the job by heart. Have a nice day.

If you like the job as well as the working environment, then it would be easy for you to work and be happy with your work.
You are right, if you are not satisfied with your job, chances are you will not give a hundred percent.

I try to think things thoroughly first before I quit. I am not the kind of person who will just up and leave when I get bored doing my job. Maybe I am just needing a break, I am already stressed or burned out with the daily grind and I just need a short break to get away from it all. Just a couple of days, long enough to refresh and re-energize. Re-focus, in other words. It is not advisable to make decisions in the middle of strong emotions, whether they are of happiness, or sadness, of boredom or excitement. Once I am calm and thinking straight, then I will decide. Maybe I just need some diversity at work, or maybe I have too much time on hand. Nothing can be truly achieved if we quit at the first sign of difficulty.

A short break from your work will help a lot in dealing with boredome or unhappiness towards work.
If after the short vacation you still find the work boring, I guess it is high time to find another job.

Definitely if you are not enjoying your work anymore then you should think about the other options available. If there is any job available which is according to your interest and the salary is also pretty much similar then you should consider about it. Till then stick to this job

It would be a better option to quit your job if there is another one waiting.

It is not wise to just resign if you feel that you are bored with your current job. You really have to consider a lot of things before leaving the company. First, you have to know the consequence of resigning. You have to figure out the things that you will do once you turn out jobless. You need to somehow set a plan after leaving the company like looking for new work. You also have to realize that you have bills to pay so you can't pay them easily if you will not have an income. Think about everything twice before quitting your job.

You are right. If quitting will give you lots of problems afterwards, then we have to think twice.
It would not be easy for us to find another job.

I think that if I am bored with my work I will not resign just yet. I understand that boredom comes from time to time and it is not enough reason to leave or resign from work. What I will do is to try to read some stuff related to my work and try learn new things. I will only want v to leave a job if I no longer feel the value of my tasks or if the company has openly made me feel that I am not valued as a member of the organization.
In my previous employers where I have resigned I did so because I longer trust in the company and I am no longer happy with my day to day activities including my peers.

That's what I'm feeling this week. I've been working with my job for almost five years already. My colleagues come and go. I am just one of the four loyalists to this job. I am thinking though that I might not find a job for a month or two so I don't have the courage to quit my job. Actually, my job is good. I don't have much stress. Only the bosses are stressing us sometimes. They want more money so they stopped giving us salary increase, etc. I hope I'll get a better opportunity soon.

This has actually only been a situation that I've faced one time in my life. When I did get burned out on the job that I was working at the time, the first thing that I started doing was that I started to look for another job where I knew that I would be a lot happier. I didn't actually end up quitting the job that I had burned out on until I had actually been offered a job at another place. After I did this, I found that I was a lot happier with every aspect of my life.

I think that one factor that would help you decide whether to quit your job or not is your responsibilities. Back here in the Philippines, when people reach the age of 20 that is the time that they start looking for jobs because this is the usual age people graduate from college in our country. I think that when you have less responsibilities like if you do not have a family to feed yet, maybe it is fine to venture on to many things like different jobs. I think that it is a part of life's experiment. I do not believe that the job that you should have must be really related to the education you achieved. I still believe in life's destiny that you have a purpose. You may not know it today but soon enough you will get there.

There maybe times that we feel bored or have a feeling that we are not satisfied with our job or having negative feelings about it. Yes, I must admit that there are times that I too feel this way. But whenever this point of time came to me, I would just have to recall the time when I was still looking for a job. The time when I dreamed of having to buy this and that but to no avail and trying out company after another but it seems that there is no job available for me. After that I would say to myself, Yes! I am lucky to have this job. Many people are dreaming to be in my position right now. Many people are looking for job and still looking up to this time. I don't have the right to complain, I chose this.
Have a great day!

Well, first off, the important factors are; Money, the outstanding bills, the new jobs opportunities. If we are about getting a nother job which we like most, we can consider quitting the job but if we do not have any chance yet we had better keep working in the same job. We should keep applying to other jobs continuosly so we have more alternatives.

You see it will all depend upon the situation. If one has other options to get a new job then one could quiet his present job if he feels bored in the job.
On the other hand if there is no other option to earn one will have to adjust with the job, irrespective of his liking or disliking.

I newly quit my job abroad but I tried to find another job with different country. I quit because of the country I work for. It's the most strict country in the world. Another thing, I quit because I don't have kids yet. Need to go home to make my own. How can I work without inspiration. Lastly, I quit because I am bored with my job.

Well. There are times I have felt this entire year that I want to quit. But being in the profession of teaching, I just can't get up and leave. I really thought long about why I want to leave. For me the work environment between colleagues is very important. If it becomes this selfish, keep secrets, pull others down kind of environment, I feel like leaving the place. I somehow cant work with hypocrites or the sweet pill kinds. This is so important that even though the pay is very good, I really thought of leaving my present job.
Well when I did think about leaving, the only thing one person told me, never leave the old job and look for new. Always do it the otherway round. Look for a new job and then leave the old one.

To quit is not that easy, number 1 factor to be considered is your readiness to lose your source of income , 2nd is your readiness to embrace new life, new environment, and new career direction.
I think it is normal to feel bored once in a while when you perform the same task everyday, but before making any decision , I think we should find solution instead of quitting. Try to create your own challenge and reconnect with people.
For me,try to think deeply before quitting. if those mentioned above solutions doesn't work to change your feelings ,then look for other opportunity because sometimes boredom signifies you're in the wrong job or career.

I would probably quit but I have to get a new job first.Frankly speaking, I'm not happy with what I get here. I still need a part time job. I'm just happy working here because I've got good friends. We have the access to use social net working sites and even watch movies online, chat with my co- workers on our free time. When it comes to stability this company has nothing to offer.A lax attitude of our boss makes us stay here.
