Jazz has been gone for over a month.

It's hard to believe that he went to the care home just over a month ago. I do get updates and photos. And there is even a feature on him on the rescue's Facebook page.
Sadly one person told me that I was callous for dumping him. But my reason for sending him to the home has been explained on their page.
I miss him dearly. Not a day goes by that I think about him. I never stop thinking about him.
I know I made the right decision when I sent him there. He is doing so well over at his new home. He tries to run around, loves the stream, and comes back to the house all muddy.
He rolls in the snow, and is walking a little more. He's starting to lose a bit of weight as well.
He will be going for surgery to remove the tumors he has as soon as he's lost enough weight.
It would be nice to have him home, but that would undo everything he's been able to do since he went to the home.
Now that my story is out in the open for that one complainer to see, I hope she'll see the error of her judgmental attitude and change her ways.

First, dont worry about what one person says. You made the right choice for the animal... and thats shows your true love....

The owner of the rescue has pulled down the feature due to the rudeness of the woman who commented. She didn't expect anyone to be rude.

it is hard when we have to give up our pets no matter for what reason I will soon be going though the same thing i need to move out of my very small home a studio is what it is called and i want to get a real place so that when people come to my home they dont have to sit on my bed or see it for that matter i have 4 cats under 1 year old a a dog who is also under 1 year old no one wants me with all four cats I love them all but how do you choose i almost cry at night nowing i have to make the choice who stays and who goes

And this is why people can't judge. I would have said straight out to find a place that accepted all your pets.
Now I ask questions. I don't judge. There have got to be options you can explore. Surely there are rentals that will allow all your pets?
If not, are there options with friends and family where you can have your cats live?
But if you have no choice but to give them up, make sure that the person or people who take them will let you know how they're doing, or even let you visit them.
It's so hard to give up a pet.

I am glad he is doing well. Just know that you did what you thought was best. It is hard to make those kind of decisions.

Sometimes tough choices are the best ones, people need to stop judging.

You made the right choice when you sent Jazz off to that home. And don't let anyone make you feel guilty for doing what you had to. At least you didn't do like most people do and just abandon them and dump the off at the side of the street. You made sure he was in a good place, and look he is he is doing so much better.
Anyways, its good to hear that Jazz is doing so much better and thanks for the updates.

Hi, kris......Thanks for the update on Jazz. I know you've lost a part of yourself when you had to send him away but it sounds like it definitely was for the best.
If I had the wherewithal, I'd open up a 'nursing home' for aged pets. I've always loved pets and have had them all of my adult life. My brother and I weren't allowed to have any when we were growing up. So I think I've quite made up for that ever since I left and got out on my own.
Prayers and good wishes going out for Jazz from here.
