Well, there has been months when the salary came so late that it was time for next month's salary. Now, it's being said that company has too many employees and too less projects. I am already on bench(not on any project) since last month. So it feels like they are gonna make me go first. God, I am so tensed, what am I gonna do jobless :(, how am i gonna pay back my loans.

Hi nightwatcher... I am really sorry that you have got such a bad news. I think when you said that it has been a few times that you knew about the projects not coming to the company. I sure feel lucky right now that our company has a lot of projects that we ourselves are complaining about the heavy workload.
I would like to ask what your job is, and where you are at?
Maybe if you knew something like this is going to happen, i think you will need to try and see if there are jobs out there that would match your qualifications. Sometimes it is really good that you have such interim plans and is ready just in case the news is all truth and they will downsize.

I am in IT department, I actually have a bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering.I hope they don't downsize and that they do get some projects :(

Hi night, I am with information technology as well. I am not with the technical group though but we are technical analyst and our documentation is what programmer uses when they create systems.
I hope your company would do well. That is what happens to companies that provides services. Our account heads should be able to get customers. But few companies would require some systems too.
I will pray for your company as well and hope you get clients soon.

I am among the developers.. My company isn't getting too many projects these days and there are a lot of people here which they had hired for 4-5 huge scale projects and bad luck is that they couldn't get those projects in the end

You are right sneha. I can't really calm myself. Every 5-10 minutes i get a feeling like what will happen if i lost this job and didn't get any other? its really frustrating.

I am sorry to hear that. It seems that the economy doesn't go well. I have a friend who works in a hotel. Today he told me that 10% employees from his hotel will be jobless. Because lately the business in his hotel doesn't go well. Therefore, they have to hire less employees.

That can indeed be stressful, but just relax, the company might just decide to keep you. If they don't then you can start looking for another one, don't worry, you will find one soon if you only look.

Somehow I believe it's kinda hard for them to take that action but well nowadays many companies getting this kind of troubles. They will need to be forced to do that action so that the company might survives.
For the worker it self it's better in my opinion to find alternatives such as online Job offer. For my self since i'm in IT industry I can always find some work online. I believe there will always be offer somewhere out there, you will need to do some researches about it.

I know it feels like. The same thing was happening in my company as well. They hired the people for some projects and then project didnt come, so they started firing. I was going thorugh the same as I was also on bench since 6 months. Luckily I got the project yesterday after so many rounds of client interviews.
I would suggest you to keep looking for other opportunities, so that if in worst case this impacts you, you will be already prepared for it.
