@ hestylim I totally understand the wanting to stay in your room and be left alone, on one hand I really want to be social yet on the other I just can't.

Depression is feeling sad without any rational reason. The most popular theory about depression etiology is the theory of chamical imbalance in the brain. There are different forms of depression and every person goes trough it at least once in a lifetime but the most dangerous is the clinical depression. It must be treated by proffesionalist and It's treatment involves medications. Sings of depression may be: Feeling sad without a reason Sleep disturbance-too much sleep or insomnia Eating disturbance unwillingness to comunicate or lack of interest in social interactions Lack of motivation engadge in activities I hope that helps I can't explain it well in English:D

You explain it very well, Miryanag. From all the things you listed... I think I got almost all of it... I am now trying my best to suppressed it but I don't know if it will work... I never realize it is a depression until one of my friend tell me about it.

Maybe you should visit a specialist there is nothing wrong in seeking help. I if you really have all those symptoms self treatment is going to be very hard and it can make it worse. If it's mild form of depression phisical activity and some sun, new expiriaces can help but if the problem is deeper youl need help.

I've been through depression before and i found it started slow, things like ild stay in more, avoid people and generally hide myself away. That can be one sign of depression.

Hmm okay. I prefer stay inside my room more. But I feel like really like to cry and hide sometimes. Really feel like to run away but feel like I have no where to go.. I don't know what happened to me. I am thinking that I am suffering what is called as depression.

Depression have so many causes but the most common is because of a broken heart. Many signs of depression just like always crying , you don't like to talk to any person in your home , avoiding people , always angry , you don't like to take personal hygiene . You don't go outside . Locked self in her room. Depression should not be ignored , this must be addressed soon as possible because if not , so dangerous it will lead to a severe condition. One sign that the stage is dangerous already is when a person no longer wants to eat and simple task like taking bath , can not be carried anymore. These are the sign that you need to see an expert.

Hmm, what you are telling is kind of severe.. I am not reaching that stage yet.. But I wish I will not ever reach that stage. I just can be super sensitive in a time and feel irritated just because of a simple word -- and just like that... I will cry and cry like I never cried before... and when you ask me why, I will not be able to explain or understand the reason why.. At first, I was thinking that what I am experiencing is simple a mood swing.. But one of my friend told me that it is sign of depression and I am on the early stage. I don't know if he is right, but now I am concern of what I am having now...

Crying and not knowing the reason is a sign that you need to talk to psychologist . Some inner conflict that you need to resolve. I didnt say its severe. Me too experienced such , i even asked myself sometimes am i going crazy ? This happens to all .

Yeah.... So glad to find a lot of people with similar condition.. :) Sometimes I thought I am weird myself.. :) When I feel like to cry, I usually hide and cry and let none see it... I tried to hold it once, and it hurts very much inside.. So I think it is healthier to cry it out.. :)

Yes, you have listed signs of depression, however, if you are a lady it could also be PMS. Same symptoms. In any case, there is a very safe and reliable method to deal with depression, mood swings and also irritability (trust me, I know how irate i can get at times) A sweet little herb called chamomile can turn me from Hyde to Jekyll and from weepy to chirpy. Brew some of this amazing tea and see if it helps you too.

I have a lot of experience with depression throughout my life. This is something that I've had to deal with on and off since I was a teenager. In my case, the biggest sign that I can see when I am going into a depressive period is that I will want to do nothing but sleep. I won't want to eat and I will really not feel like leaving my house either. However, I do think that there are many more signs of depression and not all people that are going through depression will exhibit the same symptoms.

Hmm, I see.. I am sorry to hear that. So how do you deal with it, Doran? It's kind of annoying sometimes, right? Is pushing people away (emotionally), kind of depression?? Well, it's kind of confusing.. and I am not ready to face a real psychological doctor yet.. hehe

Crying without reason could be depression, but I think it's more complicated than just crying. I get to feeling sorry for myself and cry. I don't like to let people see this. I also suffer from watery eyes due to allergies so it's easy to hide the crying. I find reason to cry, but it still could be depression I suppose. I more likely think it is due to my husband being a jerk as he is the reason I often cry even when he is not in the room.

I understand.. yeah, yeah you are right, I never realize before you mentioned... I mostly cry because of feeling sad and feel pity of myself. I always cried and hide myself under the blanket, or cry while everyone is sleeping.. So that no one knows.. I think, sometimes, we just feel helpless.. and then we cry to make us feel better.. We will feel good at the meantime, but then some times after that time, the sad and self pity feeling come back.. moreover when situation get worse.. :(

Depression happens when you don't get something over a long time. When you try to acheive something for a long time and ultimately, you don't get it,you feel depressed. It is a very common sign of mental illness.
