my mom does not like my dieting

Before she hates me getting fat each day but now I'm serious with dieting she is trying to get me back to eating rice. I think because I eat more lean meat like chicken and so I tend to buy or spend more for my diet. Unlike before just small amount of meat then a lot of rice would save us more money then some soup also which is cheaper on the budget. So I'm eating less now either meat or rice just so I won't have to buy more meat. More coffee and water. I just eat just small amount of rice since I don't have anything else to eat now I can't but meat that much anymore.

Good luck with your diet! I know it's a struggle because my mother has struggled for years. When my cholesterol hit an all time high, I really had to watch my sodium intake. It's hard to adjust a meal around our health needs but it's just an adjustment period.
I wouldn't worry too much about what your mother thinks at this point. It's your body and you are doing what is good for you.

Yeah I'm watching my salt, sugar intake and other harmful things like fats and etc. And I'm replacing them with God fats, fiber and lots of water. No more powder juice and sodas for me. No more ice cream, cakes and breads and cookies.

i know what you mean. i ate too much few months back. all the things i would dream of eating i tried to eat. before i went into dieting so i won't keep on wondering what are those foods i could have enjoyed. so now i am just happy that i have tried a lot of food and so i am not looking back and just happy that i have eaten some of the delicious like last month. and now, i am more into dieting. i don't miss those delicious foods like french fries. maybe by december i would try eating some foods that i love but this time i would have only some portion that would not make me fat.

Soda can be my down fall . That and cutting back on potatoes was very, very hard because that's what I'd eaten all my life. Have gone to a multiegrain pasta and brown rice here and there. It's not the same but I'm still adjusting too.

not sure i understand - you were fatter when eating rice ? and now eat chicken to diet but its too expensive ?
rice is often eaten when dieting instead of say chips, so im wndering why you arent eating it

maybe its not all about the budget, maybe she sees that you're not being the usual healthy self you are in before you started dieting, she got worried and tried to stop you. maybe? And regarding your diet, if you are doing an Atkins diet meaning low carb super high protein, then its really taking an effect, you're losing weight fast, but you're also putting your body on the line. Yes its the new fab on dieting but looking at the different view of it, you're doing your body damage. With super high protein in your system, and with the known fact that you need at least 3days to fully digest every protein in your food, you're giving your body a hard time to digest your food, so you're being harsh to your liver, pancreas and also since nitrogen is high in protein food you're also being harsh to your kidney. And also you're losing weight because you're having a muscle wasting, wherein your body takes the muscle to transform your glycogen in the muscle into glucose for everyday energy. So you're not just loosing weight you're also loosing a lot. So i suggest have a balance diet, eat more fruits and vegetable.
The best possible way I can suggest you to diet is eat rice and vegetable in the morning and a for lunch, then just eat fruits and vegetable for dinner. You don't need to cut down the rice since you're eating it in morning and lunch, just don't eat rice on evening (",)

Yeah i eat a lot of vegetables and fruits, i forgot to mention besides lean meat that's why diet is quite expensive as i eat like two mangoes daily, bananas, then plantain which is cooked in very little oil. Then no rice, bread, sodas and etc. I think it was balanced diet

Remind her the diet is for your good, not for hers. If you need to diet, do it. Good luck with it. Drink lots of water, and walk.

well if you decide to have a diet avoid junk foods and eat a lot of fresh foods like fruits and vegetable.. you can still eat rice but a small portion will do.. in deed dieting sometimes cost a lot than eating normal like you do before because you tend to buy more of the foods you should eat.. so you should be patient if you really wanna be fit..

I like junk food but of course I avoid them but there's time I just can't avoid them buy thankfully lately I didn't have any junk food.
