Some times, I am thinking of having my own business instead of staying as employee to other company. Aside from I have my own time, I am the boss of my own business. But starting a business needs enough time, good planning and especially capital to finance your starting business needs. Unlike being an employee, you have a passive income, however you are doing what ever your boss is telling you. how about you, what do you prefer, have your own business or stay as employee?

Hi ! I prefer to have a business than having that blue collar job . When you have your own business you control your time , you pull out all the resources with in you . You can implement things you wanted to without consulting anyone . You can set your goal as far and as broad as you wanted it to be , no one can stop you. Unlike when you are employed that the company controls your time ,your function is very limited and you have to follow what your manager been telling you whether you like it or not. You income when you're employed is fix no matter how hard you work or how outstanding you are in doesn't matter , comparing when you're in your own that you have an income as high as you wanted , it depends on how you work for it!

Absolutely right Angelpink. Having your own time is really beneficial not only to our self but also we can have a quality time for our family too. Dream big, and as far as you do everything to succeed in your chosen path, you will reap what you sow in time. @81861430, you have point to that also, because going to business is not like going to war without any weapon, but as long as you go with what you really love to do, then there will always a good result afterwards. Thanks for sharing too.

Employment is a guaranteed poverty for income is fixed and expenses is flexible but you can raise a capital in employment if you know how to save and you can do both employment and at the same time do business of your own as part time job. If you can raise enough capital then you can have your full time business and resign as an employee.

Yes you're right. I am hoping too that some day while working as employee for the moment, I can start my small business too then once I have enough savings, then maybe focusing on my business will be my priority. Thank you again.

I prefer to be an employee first, but if I got enough savings, I also want to start my own. Just like the hearsay, we can never be an employee forever. After graduation in college, all I want is to have a consistent income and stable finances. But as years and years passed by as an employer, now I am thinking what business I would build on my own. A matter of curiosity of how it feels to be a big boss. :-) But thanks to the company, they never stop the blessing of having annual salary increase enough to support my family needs.

That's nice to hear that there's an annual salary increase. Yes, maybe when we have enough savings, then that would be the great time to start and build our own business and be our own boss.

i prefer to know what can possibly maximize my skills and talents. i know that business is tough and demanding. probably, what i can do is to build my capital and enhance my skills and understanding of business transactions so that when i decide to put up my own business, then i'll be ready. for now, i am Ok to simply build my capital with a boss who cares for my career and a job which pays well and enables me to develop more skills.

Thank you. Yes, that's a great opportunity too because maybe when time come that you're ready to start your own business, all the skills you acquired during your employment days might be helpful for further improvement of your chosen nature of business to start with.

I think I go with to be an employee first. We need to have experience before going into a battlefield with full of people to compete for.

You're right with that jiiiiin.Aside from the skills that you can learn from your current job, you can somehow have savings that later on you can use for starting your own business. Planning, dedication, research and others will help a lot. Thanks for sharing.

Actually I prefer build my own business rather than being employed, I can have many employers and there is nobody scolded me anymore. But when the job (being employed) is very prestigious, it means that the job having good salaries, I think it's okay to be the best choice.

I like the idea of building my own business a lot better than working for others. Working hard to start-up and profit from your very own business is a lot more rewarding than working hard just hoping for some praise from your boss. Jobs in my area are not so good, they have all completely forgotten about giving raises and just pay minimum wages. Appreciating their employees is not even something most employers think about anymore.

At the moment I am an employee, but I would like to start my own business, that is one of my dreams. I have thought about different options for instance a shop where I sell art and crafts, because I paint, draw, make my own cards and many other things. I think that it would be great to have my own shop where I could sell my things, but I don't have the money to start my own business at least not at the moment. I would like to like to have the freedom to plan my own time and make my own decisions. On the other hand there are also advantages about being an employee. When I am an employee I know how much I earn per month and my earnings don't depend on the things that I am able to sell.

Having had the opportunity to work for several different people during the course of my life, I now know that when the time comes that I need to work all the time I'm going to have to start a business of my own. The reason that this is the option that is the most fitting for me is because of the fact that I don't respond well to authority. If I am the boss then there wouldn't be anyone above me that was constantly telling me what I needed to do. I'm a bossy person as opposed to being a person that is bossed.

I prefer to start my own business, both my mom and dad are entrepreneurs and even my younger sibling is in the business industry too. I'm currently working freelance, previously employed but I'm not cut out to be an employee since I tend to abuse myself too much and attach myself to my work so.. If I'm going to dedicate so much time might as well to it to my actual business or family business

For me, building your own business is one of the best and hardest part, the hardest part is, to maintain it, cos in business, sometimes there's big problem that might turn your business closure, But if you don't have enough money yet, I prefer to be employee first,

Well,i am thinking of having both.It might sound ridiculous but then i can elaborate my point.I do not think i have enough capital to start business on my own.Plus what ever i am doing is just growing up in time. Its long time to see the day i would have enough money from my business or online ventures to meet my expenses and save for the rainy day.On the other hand, for meeting my expenses and for growing my business i need to stay employed. This will also help in getting things i need and also help to get things moving in my life.Plus it also comes with other benefits like medical reimbursement and medical insurance which i would not be able to take up with my business life,at least at this point of time.I agree you need to listen to your boss in employment but then there are risks in personal business as well. There are pros and cons for everything. But having some money through personal business does bring in extra satisfaction and helps us much with things. But then everyone has different strategies and ideas.I am not interested in quitting my employment at this point fo time as its my main bread and butter and need to get things through online business as well. Thanks!

Business - This is an image of Money & business
Hello markIT this is checkmail and at least me would definitely prefer business, even in partnership, as jobs this days are not reliable even didn't got paid for previous two jobs properly. We have short coming in jobs like outsourced, low salary, cheap working conditions, overload, its better to be dependent on our self than on someone or organization.Support u with self dependence in business....

I would love to have my own business, but I wouldn't know what to start with. I know it would have to be something that I'm extremely interested in, but I don't know that I would be able to make a success of even something I really enjoy. Then there's the planning, the money, stock if you need it, and many other variables that would come in to play. I know that people start their own businesses all the time, and make them a success as well, but....

I am pretty sure that almost everyone here would like to have their own business than be employer to some company. I am working in one company at the moment, the money what I get is nice, but the rules are very strict which sometimes give me big headache. Yes we need money to start own businesses, but I know that in my country there are banks and projects which support new project ideas if they are nice and can earn a lot of money for you. Otherwise they will not help you. Do you have this opportunity in your place too? P.S. My economic teacher always have said "I hope you all will have your own businesses and you will pay your employers not vice versa.

Work on both, one which is to work for others and use some spare time to build your own business. Make sure there is no conflict of interest, otherwise you are going to have a hard time later on. Some people may be happy having both "jobs", so they can augment their income. Whether you choose to solely focus on your own business eventually is a decision that will require some analysis on your own. The only advise I would give to you is "Don't rush".

I mam currently employed for almost four years now and I was already exhausted with everyday office works. I want something new. Though, I had learned a lot in my work still it is enough for me. I want to build my business on my own. I want to explore and test myself if I have that capability to build my own business and produce a promising profit and to be successful. I think it is a very tough decision for me and a very challenging one.
