I was watching my son today. He was fully engrossed in his favorite cartoon character.
I realized that in our days we were also fond of watching and reading cartoons and comics! They were very important to us.
I still feel connected to some of my favorite characters.I am very much attached to Mickey mouse,Donald duck,Alice and Cindrella..I might sound funny but I can't deny my passion for them!
Do you agree or or am I sounding immature?

No,it's not immature. If these characters entertain you, relax you or teach you something, having a passion for them can never be immature.Although we are grown up now,but there is still a child in our heart.Somewhere deep in our heart we are still a child.
Long ago when I was a juvenile,I used to read Hindi translation of Phantom series of comics, and I learned a lot from this character. The Hindi translation of Phantum series of comics was then published by the Times of India publications.I still love reading it.

I agree with you if you still enjoy cartoon characters. It keeps us happy and youthful. Most cartoon characters are made smiling to look friendly. I like mickey mouse too. :)

I loved to watch Scooby Doo and the gang when I was growing up. Of course there was also Captain Caveman, Grape Ape, Sylvester & Tweety, Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Foghorn Leghorn, Elmer Fudd, Porky Pig... ahh the list goes on and on. Some of the cartoons today are worthless (in my opinion) and don't really make much sense. You are not immature. We must all address the child within to keep from going crazy in this adult world!

It's definitely not immature to have passion for something we love especially something from our childhood. We could never forget our childhood memories & we still enjoy them even after growing up. I also love watching cartoons & reading comics of my childhood even today. Mickey Mouse & friends & other Disney cartoons were my favourite.

No way are you immature for watching cartoons in the privacy of your own home. It's how you act in public that makes you mature or immature. Like if you go to a restaurant and throw food or act like a baby that's immature not watching cartoons at home. It just means your a kid at heart. You have a young heart and are staying young and having fun. Besides i heard once that cartoons were originally made for adults but that kids loved to watch them so they became more for kids than adults. Heck i still love to watch the bugs bunny cartoons Flintstones Jetsons all the Disney animated movies Smurfs Popeye and all the cartoons that were on when i was a kid.I even like animated movies such as Cars Wreck it Ralph and all the Toy Story movies. How you act is what makes you mature or immature not what you watch on tv. Besides
it's in the privacy of your own home and sometimes with your kids so that's not immature at all. My hubby he even watches animated cartoon movies tho he doesn't really watch cartoons on tv and hes mature.

My favorite cartoon character is Maximus - the horse character
from the cartoon movie 'Tangled' or 'Rapunzel'. My son and I
enjoyed watching Tom and Jerry, Sponge Bob Square Pants and
we will be still laughing even though we are watching the
repeats. I love to laugh ... always!

Hi wishjui. Yes, I agree with you, it's normal on what I believed, though some are keep on denying or thinking it's immature but they are wrong. It feels good when there are moments that you are reminiscing your childhood, and when you see your daughter/son, they remind you of your childhood too. Though I don't have yet married, but for me it's one of many ways of having quality time with our sons/daughters. =)
