I have to buy another safe

I wasn't really making much money, so I sold my safe online. I usually just store my cash in it from my brothers, and some gift cards. Now I have a pile of cash, and will be getting more. I have half of petsitting in cash, and dog walking today. I go again Tuesday to walk, then I will start poop scooping hopefully this week or the next week. I will have over $1,000, seeing as they track your bank account, I can't go put it all in at once. I have to put it in small amounts at a time, with my pays or randomly. I have been carrying it around with me, right now I have $200, but I wont feel comfortable with a larger amount.

Being aware of your family situation and your mother's sticky fingers, please don't leave any of that cash in your room or anywhere in your house. Things have a way of disappearing especially from your room. I think your best option is a city or national bank. They just track deposits over $9999.99.

I am working under the table, so no putting it into a trust account, or even bank account right away will not happen.

I don't understand why unless you are on welfare or something or disability. I'm on social security and I can make over $800 a month. I don't make near that much but I do make a couple hundred a month online.

You are suppose to claim everything you make, whether it's online or not, even if someone gives you money the government expects you to claim it as income. Now I am sure if I put $100 in my bank account once a year it wont run flags. But if I deposit $1,000 every so many weeks or months, red lags will go off, they track your bank accounts. I have been audited in the past and warned about it. So they are keeping eyes on my accounts, so I deposit in small amounts, if anything is said, I usually say someone owed me money.

what's your address ricki? it really isnt safe to carry around cash. too bad you sold your safe prematurely. If I feel that what I have is too much to carry around, I put it in my atm. it's such a drag though if you forget to bring your atm then suddenly need cash. happened to me 2x

With the exception of having a fire proof safe that I keep a backup copy of all of my pictures and our important documents in, I have never and will never own a safe to keep my cash in. I just keep an envelope in my bedside table and keep all of my cash in there as opposed to keeping it in a safe. I feel pretty comfortable in my own home and I know that no one that lives with us would steal my money. If you feel that uncomfortable with your family, that is really sad. Even when I lived with my mother and siblings, I didn't feel a need to keep my money locked up.

Funny, when others are having problems on how to earn something, and then you worry of having no safe place to keep your cash! I hope you didn't get mad about what I have said. But really, I am happy that you are earning good with your petsitting. I didn't think it would really help you that much. I guess, it is just not common here in our country to have such job. I am so happy for you!

Why can't you just deposit it? You aren't on welfare or disability are you where it matters? I put all my money in my checking account. I've put $500 in at a time when I got it in PayPal. I never have a problem.

You have to claim the money, if I walk in and deposit $1,000, I wopuld be audits, and fined by the government. Whether you are on disability, welfare, or actually work for your money, the government wants every penny. Seeing as I am working under the table, for cash and not claiming it, I have to sneak it by.

Good idea to get a safe there, also glad you are doing well. Means soon you can get out of that house.

It usually starts mid February but haven't heard anything. The guy that usually works supposeable got another jobs, so I was going to get more hours. All I can think of is the weather isn't good whereever he does orders for in the US or he gave the hours to the other lady.

You're right. You really have to get another safe. Carrying large amount of money isn't good especially if you are pet sitting. You might accidentally drop your money. Always be careful.

With that amount of cash around, I would also need a safe box, even if I live alone. I wouldn`t want to misplace it and a safebox is the best way to know exactly where it is.

Exactly, it's a way to store the money, and keep it safe as well as other belongings.

I have 5 banks here at home, and lock box and a money bag, all of these I can put my money in, that I collect from what I earn online,I do have saving account but I don't use it that ofter, unless I am transferring my money from paypal to my saving account, and that money doesn't stay in my saving account long, before I withdraw it and have to use it, for something that I need.
