Oh NO...
Have you ever received this message that there will be a system maintenance starting on March 17 at 11pm until 6am of March 18, 2013?
I have observed that my internet connection is very slow for a week now.
One Mylotter said that she is also having the same problem with SMART Internet connection.
Hope this problem will be resolved soon...
Uh uh...I don't like changing internet provider.
But...if the problem persist....can't tell what's going to happen next.

I have one provider that I have relied on. However, I have another one ready for use just in case the first one has problems.

Oh, that must be the reason why my internet connection is super slow. I even bought an extension with signal booster but I don't know if it is really making any good with the signal. I don't receive that message.

Slow internet connection will test our patience for sure. So better you have to find another option quickly if the current provider failed to solve the problem quickly.

I talked to one of their representative about the issue few days ago and they explain to me about their system upgrade.
If you didn't observe, everytime you registered to unlimited there is a policy on the usage of the unlimited text and calls.
Now, even you are registered to unlimited text but you are under the policy that evey subscriber are allowed only to send messages with a specific number of messages. They are not sure about the figure but definitely we are allowed only to send 150-200 text everyday. Where is the unlimited there?

I am not a texter and honestly I don't load much on my phone.
That's why my friends called me when it's urgent because they knew that I seldom use my mobile phone for texting- ahahaa.
But I have observed my slow internet connection since I came back here in Manila.
It's so annoying because I want to make up with my losses and my internet connection is making me piss offffffff- duhhhh

What makes me feel annoyed is the are too advanced when it comes to collecting/sending bills (huh)

I do not use Smart, I always use Globe . But globe is to slow! Huhu What about Smart? Havent tried it yet.

I am not a Smart subscriber now, it's been 3 years since the Smart tower is taken down here in our place
Now , I am using Skycable and I can say Smart is still better compared to my present subscriber.

Hi Jai I received the same text message last week and around 10 pm my connection was also lost and get back at around 1am. Just last 2 days ago it happened again but there was no alert text from them. I just hope from this system upgrade our connection are more fast and stronger.

Ah that can really hamper our online activities. We all used Smartbro back in Manila, that USB stick. When we went back in 2010 here in my hometown we decided to have PLDT wifi set up. It was fast compared to Smartbro and Globe sucks here big time. Despite the problem we encounter sometimes with PLDT, it's still worth it because there was no other faster choice.

It's sad indeed to have this problem.
It seems that our daily life is not complete without browsing the net, not to mention our earnings online.
I haven't tried PLDT and Globe- but I am looking forward for the fastest one- the cable+internet in one..

It is also the same with our internet provider(Globe), they keep on having maintenance. If I will shift to Smart, oh the same thing will happen maybe. So I'd better stay and rest when there is no connection. :-) Holiday hehe

Oh, I can't switch to another ISP, SMART is working fine with me.
I guess my canopy needs a replacement now and the company just called me this afternoon- they'll send a technician to check the problem.

So I see this is a nationwide problem. We got here a weak signal to no signal at all even outside our house. At first I thought it was just my celphone which is broken.I have not received any message from Smart regarding this matter. Hope theyll finish fixing their system sooner.

Hi jaiho: At the moment this alert happened I was not using Mylot because of my job. But at the same time I am not a smart user. These problems happen from time to time. I hope it haven't affected the development of the site too much.

The site is also having some problem for the past days and that's one reason too why I am not too active here.

Thanks for this discussion.
I use BSNL mobile and Landphone services.
I access net using land phone, the speed is very low on some days, there are interruption for days so, they say the underground cables are 40 years old, rotten now.
The mobile service specially calling and texting to your country is too bad, calls don't go nor the sms's but money gets deducted instantly.

People who use MTNL earlier used to had problems in connectivity. That has improved. Yet I hear problems with Tata Photon, Reliance and other providers regarding Wi-Fi. At some places, Wi-Fi works very fast, very slow at other places. So, in India we are far from reliable fast internet connectivity at all times. Airtel is better, but their one has to pay a minimum of Rs. 699/- for a good and fast,reliable broadband internet connection. Quite expensive.

Well I think many times, it really depends on what is going on around you, as there are many times here I have noticed things like that even here. Especially when it comes to posting in here. But yes, there afferent times all internet connections have updstes. But when it seems to last too long that is when I start making some phone calls.

I think this is applicable locally. I haven't any problem or message as such. Yesterday I got a call from my net service provider that my service period is getting over by March 15 and need to be renewed and accordingly the renewal extended till Dec 31. Also as a happy news they informed that I will be experiencing 50% extra speeed with the same price! Yes, I am experiencing more speed as compared to earlier days. Any way, after 10.00 pm, the speeeed is double for all days.
Hope your problem will get rectified soon.

hello, i have a mobile phone with smart line and some people find it hard to text me since yesterday. One of our land lines (pldt) also cannot receive calls since yesterday and a lot in our neighborhood is also experiencing a similar problem, I'm not sure if these is connected to the problem.
