What movie is better, the old one, or the new ones?

it depends on the movie...but if asking about one i will choose that of old version..in old movies acting of acter and actresses were really great to see...old movies were having clear stories in the movie,or they were mainly based on our society that time,just true picture of that..but its not present mostly in new movies..i am not telling it for each and every one...because there are many movies which is quite good from their scenes and technology they use in the movie..like spiderman 1 and 2 ,both are good..again matrix 1,2,3..its really amazing..The davinci code..no words to describe this movie....

i definatally like the new one better.

In fact, the new one is thrilling. i like that one.

I think the new version is better and more conected with the books.

New film are made after old ones. I like the new one because of the graphics and the effects, but the story of the old ones still remains better.

I've actually only seen the one movie, from the 80's. I liked is... Great cast...Sting, "Captain Picard", "Mr. Twin Peaks" and that guy from "One flew over the cocos nest"....hehe I'm going to see the new movie now, since a lot of you like that best. Thank yo for sharing that knowlege :-)

I like the new one, but i haven't seen the old one yet. But the new one has amazing visual effects, great casts and great costume. I would recommend the new one for anyone who's just getting to know Dune. It made me feel intrigued to get to know the books more

The new version is much more better then the old one, and was more related to the book. As for the old one, I couldn't figure it out how come Frank Herbert, who was there at the filming, allowed them to do that to his book.

I always loved the movie Dune and the vison of David Lynch, of the universe created by Frank Herbet to this day when i imagine Paul Atrides or any other character of the series i use the original movie as template, even if is not as true to the original novels as the miniseries wich i also like, let´s hope they adapt the rest of the series and the most recent books to televison

The new one was more faithful to the source material, but the old one was much closer to the look and feel.
