I think I'm becoming a shopaholic for bags. How can I stop myself?

I just cannot resist buying bags each time I see a really nice one in the mall. I already have cabinets and cabinets of bags, and I'm 100% aware that I'm not able to use all of them all the time. Sometimes, they even get broken because of very long storage in the cabinet and I end up just having to throw. Inspite of this, I still can't stop myself from buying. I need help and I'm open to any suggestions on how I can fix this problem.

hi!
first you have to take a picture of your cabinets full of UNUSED BAGS, and then every time you go shopping or somewhere else, just take the picture with you. Finally if you spotted a really nice and an eye candy for you, simply look at the picture and just spot a place where you will place that NEW BAG that your going to purchase.. Is there any space left to place if your your going to buy it? that's for you to answer. Hope this help..

I am definitely not a shopaholic and especially not for bags, in fact I only own one purse and I will continue to use that purse until it is useless because it has been worn out. That is just the way that I am.
I think that the best way to fix a problem when you are doing compulsive shopping is to keep yourself away from the situation where you do the shopping for a while, that way you won't have the temptation to shop. After a while you can start slowly reintroducing yourself to the temptation and you should be able to resist your urge to shop.

The best way is to think of your priorities in life. Remember that money is hard to find these days. You are lucky if you have a stable job. But think of it this way. What if you suddenly need money for emergency purposes. Just think of how much money you spend on those bags that has become non-useful to you.
If you go to the mall and see a real nice bag, control yourself. Just keep the money in the bank. You will be surprised at how much you can actually save.

That's bad. I'm referring to those wasted bags that you threw. Each of us has our own obsessions. I understand you for having bought those bags. Are you planning to sell them? You know I have a personal experiences on this. I have several pairs of eyeglasses, I placed one in my drawer at the office, one in my bag, one upstairs, one each in the kitchen, living room, my room and in my daughter's room aside from the pair that I'm wearing whenever I go out. I sleep with my daughter every night that is why I have eyeglasses in her room. I also have some spare pairs just in case I may lose one in the places I stated. One time, my husband told me that his sister asked him to have one of the pairs that she saw. But I told my husband to leave those pairs where they found it. I just don't want to give those things. I only give my eyeglasses when the grade already increase. I don't know if it's the right term. You know, it made me happy to see my collection of eyeglasses.

Lots of people have this obsession. If it gets really bad you need to see someone about it. But what you can do is limit your closet to a certain number. Say you pick 20 for your number. Look through all your bags and only keep 20. Sell the rest on ebay or at a garage sale if they aren't perfect. Then when you see a new bag that you can't live without and purchase it make sure you pick one of the 20 you already have and put it up for sale. Then you are getting something back from your purchases, you aren't hording 50-100 bags in your house, others are going to enjoy using the ones you sell and you don't have to go cold turkey and avoid all shops with bags, purses and totes in them.
Hope this may help you get started!
