Well, sounds incredible but this is what a 78 year old man claims. The doctors had no cure for him, so he started searching the Internet to find something that would help him. He found some good info there.
He changed his diet - skipped red meat and dairy products and had 10 fruit meals a day together with some more natural food supplements.
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-2204080/Grandfather-incurable-cancer-given-clear-swapping-red-meat-dairy-products-10-fruit-veg-day.html#ixzz2FBzYT8YY
Yes, I have heard that the right nutrition can help, and it cannot harm anyway, so why not give it a chance
If this diet change helped him, it must help for everyone else too, and improve our health even if we have less health problems.
Have you tried to change your diet for the better? Had any positive results??

Yes, that's already been proven back in the 1930's that the vegan organic raw food diet can & does cure cancer & every other type of "medically terminal" illness or dis-ease. There are whole books on people who have done just that & show others exactly how to go about it. There was also a good discussion on exactly that some time ago on MyLot.
Every time I have changed my diet for the better, I have noticed improvements on every level. How about you?

Yes, I have seen improvement in my health - I love fruit and vegetables and keep eating more of them now than before.
Already in the 70s I read about how the nutrition helps us to become and keep healthy.
The best is if we can get ripe organic fruits and veggies where we live. The growth season is very short where I live, so if I ever get a chance, I should live in a place with a better climate. Let's see what solution I'll find..

Impeccable timing! A family member went in today to have a tumor removed only to find it is deeply embedded into his muscle and bone and will not be able to be removed. I am sending this article on to his wife and hope it will be of use.

Great, I hope it helps.
This man searched the Internet and found some info that helped him.
There is a lot we can choose from, so it may not be easy.
One of my friends actually saved his life by changing his diet to raw food. He followed the advice from Dr Douglas Graham.
One can also subscribe to newsletters about health.
Many of my friends use food supplements from gnld.com and feel a lot more energy. I use them too and my health has improved very much, but I am eating more healthy food too.
Wishing better health to everyone..

Most health problems come from that our body is too acidic. So we have to learn to avoid this kind of food.
Sodas are one of the worst acidic, due to the carbonic acid. Also meat and many other foods can cause acidity.
The key is to use alkaline foods - and most vegetables and fruits are alkaline. We may need to take some food supplements that help us.
Those who start taking care of their health, should use Lactic acid bacteria and Calcium and Magnesium + vitamin D and Aloe Vera
After a week they could start with other food supplements.
This is what the Scientific Advisory Board from gnld.com recommeds on our info meetings. They are in the USA and work with Stanford University.
Send me a PM if you want to know the addresses.

Thank you. We have all been searching the web and studying up. We lost my cousin to Leukemia 14 years ago at age 15. We saw what the chemo does and as this is most likely terminal he does not want to go through that. he doesn't mind trying an herbal or diet formula though.

Thanks for sharing this friend. I have to share this with my uncle who is suffering from cancer. I too keep trying herbal remedies to solve my minor problems. Turmeric in raw form and ginger are very good for stomach problems. I take those regularly. Garlic is too good for controlling cholesterol levels. I have much faith on herbal treatment. I am happy to hear that the old man proved that herbals can work miracles.

I hope your uncle finds a way to get healthy. We have so many natural things that can heal us and prevent cancer.
Many have got help from right nutrition, and some choose raw food - others combine many different ways to get healthy. A friend of mine found the 80/10/10 method and saved his life by eating a lot of raw food. Another friend took a lot of food supplements and got well.
I believe also a positive attitude affects our health, so we can always work to become more positive..

Fantastic! This is the absolute best kind of article to show people that eating healthy is a good thing. Did you see the photo of him in the article? He looks so bright and awake. He looks younger for his years, I mean the energy emitting from the spark of his eyes. Really nice!

Yes we can all do a great deal to get more energy just like this grandpa did.
I like to keep a supply of fruits at home and I love the fruit meals..

There are these tales around. Someone once told me of a friend who cured cancer by eating nothing but apples!I am dieting myself at the moment, I did it for the sake of my knees, they deserve less weight to carry around. It is early days but I look a little better already. It hasn't helped my knees so far...

It seems we need to eat certain products that can take away the acids in our body, so fruits and veggies are good for neutralizing the acidity - then cancer cells don't like the environment..
I got rid of aces and pains after I started with food supplements from gnld.com - and they are made of real food, so they can't harm, as far as I know.
Well, there is a lot of info online, and I subscribe to many newletters about it. Dr Mercola is one. You can of course do your own research..

Hi Combedale I have knee problems myself I actually worked at a Nursing home and I tripped on sheet from a bed and landed right on my knee cap. That was five years ago and it really acts up every now and then. I do not like to take anything for pain however the last 6 months I have been eating oatmeal every morning and for some reason I have no more leg pain it is the only thing I can think of that has changed. I hope this can help you.

It also makes you wonder that if he didn't have access to the internet, or internet wasn't around, whether he would have got the information he needed? I am often looking up stuff on the internet about health conditions etc, and the wealth of knowledge that is out there, of course some things you have to disregard and there is also a lot of misinformation out there too, but you can learn so much, as indeed the grandfather did. Your nutrition, diet and what you eat makes a huge difference in both your mindset and your health, there's superfoods as well, foods that are known to fight off infections, even cancer. It's tapping into that knowledge that can help extend life and make you feel so much better mentally and physically.

Yes, even if not everything is accurate knowledge, we can use our common sense and find the treasures out there..
I know people who have got help and beaten cancer. Many of the newsletters about health that I am getting, make sense too!
Let's keep searching..

That's amazing. A great read and something to keep as a constant reminder that we are what we eat. There is a lot to be said for cutting red meats and dairy. I still struggle with dairy (cheese) but mainly drink almond soy milk.
I can't say changed my diet so much as added more vitamins to my daily routine. Need to get blood work done tomorrow so will see if it's helped yet or not. I'm hoping because I really hate to be on medication if can avoid it.

We learn all the time - and it is easy to add more fruit and vegetables little by little.
I subscribe to some health info too, Dr Mercola and others and gnld.com is an interesting company, as they only use products made of real food and nothing synthetic.
If we can get organic dairy products from grass fed cows, I believe they are a lot better than soy. Soy can give too much estrogen, not good for anyone. We can of course protect our body for too much estrogen with broccoli and other cruciferous vegetables, but better avoid soy products.
Let's keep learning and getting even more healthy

It just goes to show what can be achieved without the use of pills and such-like.
In my case I changed my diet because I was told I had angina (and in actual fact I found out this week that I haven't so that's cheered me up lol) but I will carry on with my change in diet regardless as my weight is less than it was due to not eating butter anymore but spreads..I use olive oil in cooking, sea salt, we only have mash once a week, rarely have fry-ups, we eat fruit in our jelly we have with ice-cream lol..oh, and we don't eat red meat all the time..have started eating more pork, fish and chicken. We do eat vegetables and I have a spell of wanting to eat carrots.

No, and I've never seen a rabbit with glasses either..
The latest I've learned is that sugar and white flour makes us fat, and wheat and gluten is a big problem for many.
But natural fats are good for our health, even butter, especially from grass fed cows. And cold pressed coconut oil is one of the best.
If we want to benefit from virgin olive oil, we can add it to the food directly on the plate. We'll save the good nutrition when we don't heat it.
A good idea is to start the day with first water, 2 - 3 cups, and then fresh fruit. Best breakfast we can get!!

I do believe that if one change his food choices and makes a strong conviction on making himself healthy, well, there will surely be one great result. I try to control the food that would make me feel sorry later on. And one way is by not eating too much carbohydrates and oily food. I try to eat as much fruits and vegetables as possible, not really wanting to have a size 10 figure, but more for health reasons.

Yes, we can do a lot for our health by using good nutritious food.
Carbohydrates like sugar and white flour products should be avoided, but natural fats like butter and coconut oil etc keep the blood sugar level down and can be healthy. We should always avoid trans fats of course..
I think if we eat healthy food for our health, the weight loss may come as an extra bonus...

I am a big believer in the power of the mind. If he believed the diet change would cure him that could be a lot of how he was cured. Of course healthy eating is always beneficial but I still say how one thinks is the greatest influence over health and just about everything...

I like to hear anything like this I have read numerous stories from many people who have fasted or went on a juicing kick. The one I found most interesting was someone went on a asparagus diet and claimed it healed them of stage 3 cancer, one just never knows, I do think the more natural foods we eat our body does have a fighting chance.

Yes, we need to go back to nature, as that kind of food is what our body was meant to digest. We should eat a lot of raw food. I know that there are lots of raw food eating people in your country, so why not make a search and find them.
They show how to prepare smoothies etc on YouTube, and most of it looks rather easy.
They also eat a lot of bananas, a very easy food. And I think cold pressed Coconut oil is easily available...

Yes, eating the right kind of food gives us more energy and we need less sleep. Sleeping is important of course, but if we sleep until we wake up without an alarm clock, we may have had enough of it..
Thank you for your experience - always interesting to learn things. Digestion takes energy, so eating less can make sense..

I have heard many stories like that and I absolutely believe in the importance of good nutrition, although not all of the popular "do-not-eat-this-and-that"s fit my theory of what constitutes good nutrition.
Most of the people I know who eat mindfully do appear 10-15 years younger than their actual age and are healthier than. the general population.

I can imagine you have heard many stories about health. Internet is over flowing with stories too, so we have to choose what to use for our own way to take care of ourselves and recommend to others.
I too feel younger than I was more than 10 years ago - for me the change in nutrition has meant a lot..

hi buenavida well maybe but I always read those claims with a grain of salt as its easy to write something for anyone and who knows if it really was cancer or not. But I know a good diet will help any of us but cure cancer thats just not that easy if I have read right all these years.I do eat better as I have diabetes and must eat right. Yes of course I have positive results.

Yes, Hatley we cannot say exactly what the circumstnces in this special case are.
But I know some reliable cases where nutrition has done a lot of good for people with cancer. Have personally met one who was cured a couple who helped them.
In one case a man was sent home to die as the doctors had done all they could. He started with a program made by a nurse who knows a great deal of food supplements and got well after about 7 months.
Anyways, no harm in eating more fruits and veggies..

Yes, I have actually heard of that too. I myself tried fruit diet few years back. I tried it twice but I have to say that it would really take a lot of self discipline as during those times that I have tried it, I only lasted for three days and I gave up. It is hard especially for those who go to work everyday. I always have this feeling that I have not yet eaten anything so I need to eat almost every two hours.
I told my brother who is a freelancer to try it as well. He has hyperhidrosis and has been complaining about body odor because of too much sweating. I told him to change his diet, and try fruit diet because maybe it could help in detoxifying and eventually lose those bad odors. But unfortunately, he can't last even a day without eating a full meal.

I guess for this man, keeping to raw food was the only alternative - but for us who can eat "normal" food, we can take it more slowly and get used to more fruits and veggies little by little.
A long time ago I learned to start the day - after drinking water - having a fruit meal. Just fruit, nothing else. We can digest it much better if we don't mix it with anything else. Well, maybe fruit and yogurt, as the Swiss doctor A. Vogel recommended once.
I have a second fruit meal in the evening, should also be eaten on empty stomach, but I also eat cooked food, but other times.
Not always easy to be consistent, but I love the fruit meals.

I'm changing my diet bit by bit. I frequently eating vegetables but because fruits are very expensive here in my place I seldom eating some of the popular fruits. I agree with Grandpa about his diet, and I'm in his place I would do the same thing. I think one of the reason why theres a sickness like this is becoz of the lack of nutrition in our body, and we consume foods that brings nothing. That's why today I love eating foods that high in fiber, becoz many foods today don't have that, Kudos to grandpa and to you for bringing this.

That is a great way to improve your diet, bit by bit. Vegetables have a lot of fiber and nutrition, so they are great too. Sometimes the fruit may be sold to a cheaper price too I hope..??
If you have a chance to have a piece of land, where you can grow something, it would also be cheaper. Or maybe buy cheap from someone you know..
Take care

i agree with you. it's in the diet. WE are what we eat. if we eat too much salty we might possibly get kidney problem if too much sweet diabetic problem.that is why changing eating diet is the best thing BUT we must know the proper amount and the right combination of foods.must be natural one. stop eating fatty meats, junk foods and preservative as it cancer causing foods.

Yes, we can do a great deal for our health.
There are still some good foods we can choose and we can avoid chemicals and trans fats etc etc..
Sugar is very addictive, so better get the sugar from whole fruit instead.. Well, there is a lot to learn..
