My flat is a huge studio apartment. I've got a comfortable sofa but I always told myself not to sleep on it. I have a bed, so better separate what I do from one place to another or another thing. It is like some sort of a discipline to end whatever work or movie on the sofa and finally end my day going to sleep on the bed peacefully. Lately I have grown comfortable sleeping on my sofa. I eat, work, watch some movies and now sleeping here too. I should remove the blanket and pillows here.lol

Oh my gosh, I know how you feel. I have the most comfortable place to sleep in the entire world, I would not give it up. Your sleep is more important, if you get a good sleep on that couch, then enjoy yourself! Relax and have a great sleep, you deserve it :)

lol, well, maybe you should. Just kidding. But if you do feel more comfy on your sofa, then your health and outlook on life will improve. Those are very important hours, the hours of sleep. These are the hours of wellness. I always like to take a light supplement before i go to sleep, so the vitamins and minerals can help heel me during these times.

Oh, I guess your bed is useless anymore. LOL. You don't need it now because you can sleep comfortably on your comfy sofa. I hope I also have my own sofa in our boarding house. I only have my bed and a stool chair. I sometimes want to sit down on a soft, comfy sofa.

My sofa is meant to be for my guests as it turns into a bed that could fit tow people. Now, it is me using it. When a guest comes maybe I should just offer my bed instead.lol

Yes, remove the blanket and pillows from the couch and then you will begin to sleep on the bed again. It is not good for your soul to be doing everything in one location if you don't need to. You need to separate your sleep to the bed no matter how comfortable the sofa is. You are doing enough things on the sofa that you don't need to include sleeptime also.

Sofa is a beautiful place to take our nap so we can wake up easily unlike in bed that when you're going to nap it would end up in sleeping long hours which would result to break our plan and schedule .

When I at my brother house I like to sleep at sofa. I feel it more comfortable than sleeping at the bed. I also can watch television. Honestly my eyes very hard to sleep if I not watching television.

Hi Aka! I like to go to sleep watching the TV, too. Not anymore because I'm always online and don't watch TV now. But when I did I used to always fall asleep on the sofa watching TV with my blanket and pillow. Or, if I was in bed, I had to have the TV in the bedroom turned on.
taiwanlife, I'm a sofa sleeper, too. Why is that, that we like a sofa better than a bed???

I think this is a bad habit but we all do it at some point. I bet, given time, you will return to your bed. I wouldn't worry about it. We all go through times where we do things a certain way. You will come back around.

My sofa is a futon. It is not very comfy for sleeping on. I love my bed so much. But, I spent $600.00 for my bed. And only $89.00 for the futon. So the bed better be more comfortable!

So actually you are saying you are too lazy to go to your bed/bedroom? I think a sofa should not be used for sleeping unless you have nothing else to sleep on. I had to sleep for some months on the sofa as my eldest daughter moved in with us again. It was terrible. After she left I gave her the sofa as well. BTW I also don't like to sleep on something other people sit on as well. Also would not like to sleep in a bed other people sit on at daytime (like the kids of my friend do.. Always dirty Always eating with 4 or 5 on the bed).
But most important is you have a good nightrest!

I think it is okay to sleep anywhere as long as it is comfortable to sleep on. But a sofa is designed to sit comfortably, while a bed is for sleeping soundly - both are not exchangeable. We feel comfortable sleeping on sofa because it is the activity we do on sofa - watching TV, reading novels etc then we got tired and sleepy and we just fell asleep there. If only we could read and watch TV on our bed, I am sure we will feel much more comfortable when we fall asleep.

I usually sleep in a sofa too, i don't know it just fun, because usually sofa is so comfortable and relaxing, it just nice to sleep there, and yes especially if there is televison in front, that would be more comfortable. Sometime when we just feel so comfort it just nice to sleep! Hehe...

Good idea, as sofa will last longer if you dont sleep on it. My ex used to fall asleep on our couch all the time. I hated that.

When I had an online job in 2010, I preferred sleeping on the sofa so that I can get up early and make my kids' breakfast. I fear of not being able to wake up in time if I sleep on the bed. I have slept for 10 months on the sofa, not being able to watch tv and just was busy with my job.

I used to love sleeping on the sofa at my parents' place. They would always kick me out of it and send me to bed and I always think that they are no fun. Now that we have our own place, I don't like it when my husband sleeps on the sofa and ruins the contour and messes up the shape of the sofa.

When I had my apartment, I would sleep on the sofa, when I get my next apartment I will sleep on the sofa, in my bed anywhere I want to because, I will be living by myself with no one, will be there with me, I am really going to enjoy living by myself.

I do understand how convenient it is! To me, sleeping in sofa is quite different from sleeping in bed. I would see which kind of sleep I need and then decide where I sleep. For example, if I am working all day and need eagerly a sound sleep, I would take off my shirt and get to bed immediately. However, if I get loads of work and I wanna a light sleep or just a nap, I would definitely go straight to my lovely sofa. In this case, I could wake up easily both in the night to continue my work and in the morning to return to my workplace. I guess it's better for you to have two sets of blanket and pillows. Thus you can sleep wherever you like. ha~
