I went to buy tooth paste this morning and they had like 10 different options... With baking soda, for tooth whitening, against gingivitis, tooth enamel and blah blah blah. Why can't they make it all into 1 thing, same like shampoo..for dandruff, dry hair, oily hair, split ends

Did you ever think that if there were only one of everything that they would have the monopoly? And they can charge whatever they wish or you go without.

I'm just saying why not make it that way in the first place instead of doing it first for whitening than a year later add enamel protection. They could have done that the first time

They only care for making money, infact. I know a story about a toothpaste company not making enough profit. They hired a new manager and he told them to make the toothpastes tube neck wider so that people use more toothpaste, they made more money.

I guess something like Colgate Total would be about as close as you can get, but even there it's not 100% everything. Now how could they make shampoo for dry and oily hair in the same one?

I eat a vegan diet so I love to buy a vegan toothpaste. It is made by a natural company from Cardiff. It is designed for sensitive teeth. If that gets discontinued then I will have to get the sensitive toothpaste from the Co OP. Yes, they should make a toothpaste ideal for all cases. My choice of shampoo and conditioner called Original Source was very sadly discontinued. I was so very upset by that and managed to get a few conditioners. Then the supply ran out. I now get mint and tea tree shampoo and conditioner from the Co Op. It is vegan and it is not tested on animals.

People are not made same. They vary in their choices and the products made for them also varies. Also all people do not have the same kind of problems to their teeth.

Good point but I don't think if you have no problems with enamel but your toothpaste has it in it ...it won't hurt I wouldn't think

It's because, if you have all the good stuff in one product, it would definitely be too expensive for us to buy them. That's why companies would make various products with different combinations/variants instead.

Well there are some toothpastes I seen that offer protection against multiple things as well as mouthwash too. I also see some shampoos and conditioners that offer help towards multiple problems but usually the ones that really help are more expensive or may not even do what it says. I think there's so much to chooose from because some deal with some problems more or not at all. Like dandruff, not all deal with it or help with whitening teeth, younger people probably don't need it as much as some older people may.

It just seems they come out with stuff added to products later down the road instead of right away like...toothpaste for white teeth than a year later toothpaste for whiter teeth and helps your enamel, why not put the 2 together the first time
