Dice it and freeze it in two cup portions to use in casseroles. Use the bone if it was bone in to make beans. I make breakfast casseroles with ham, cheese, veggies and eggs. Or sausage, or bacon bits, whatever meat, whatever cheese, whatever veggies. You can also mix it with veggies and sauce and put a crust over the top of it for a casserole. Put it through a grinder or food processor and add chopped onions, grated carrots, pickle relish and mayo for a good sandwich spread.

Casseroles do not have to have pasta. My husband does not eat pasta. You can mix ham with shredded potatoes, mixed veggies and a sauce or creamed soup for a casserole. Or ham and mixed veggies in a sauce with a crust over the top.

Casseroles are really good for ham. We rarely have a casserole, partly cause I don't know how to make them, also because family here doesn't enjoy pasta all that much.

We had ham and deviled eggs. There is a lot of ham left and some boiled eggs that the girls brought back. They picked up alot of them. I am thinking a sandwich for lunch, I don't know about the rest of ours either. Pasta is good with ham, you can do many varieties of a "sauce". Cheese is a good one, mushroom is okay. You could put some in a green salad with some cheese to make it extra tasty.

I didn't see this response when I typed mine! Yes, deviled eggs with ham is really good! It's also good with turkey. You can take the egg yolks and mix them with mustard, vinegar, mayonnaise, salt and pepper. That's how I do mine basically. Echo might have a different twist, but that's a basic base for them. Then you can add whatever you like. Jalepenos, maybe some crumbled panela, etc.

In the warmer weather I would eat more salads, salads are so versatile and with the ham would make a nice meal, in the winter you'd want a dish more warmer, so a stew or on a plate of rice, I am not keen on plain rice, so usually I have pilau or special fried rice, so you could put the ham in a stir fry. Ham fritters is another option, but then it contains far more calories being fried and being healthy, I wouldn't advocate unhealthy options for myself, but you may like the idea.

Fritters are made from batter which is used to cover the piece of ham then fried. Kind of like how fish is done in a fish and chip shop, the ham is put into the batter and fried. You can do this to pineapple to, pineapple is also great with ham. I don't like pasta, but if you do then yes that is also a great idea my friend.

My mother always sliced some for ham sandwiches - her personal favorite and the stuff that was too small to slice, she would grind up and make ham salad with.

My mom would mix green bell peppers (not spicy) and the ham, and when she wanted a sandwich, she'd mix in a little mayo. That way it kept better... A quick search shows a lot of them put celery in, but I hate celery, always have, so I'm sure that celery never went into anything I was expected to eat. Now I don't eat peppers either.

I could almost come up with a number of uses from dips, salads and dishes. Tortilla Dips: 1. Ham salsa dips 2. Ham and Cheese dips Salads: 1. Ham and Potato Salad 2. Ham and Egg (Mayonnaise) Side Dish: 1. Stir fried cabbage and ham. (Add fresh chilli if you like spicy) 2. Stir fried cauliflower with ham and ketchup 3, Stir fried ham and cucumber 4. Stir fried ham and peppercorn 5. Stir fried long beans with ham and chilli Or you can make a dish of fried rice with eggs, garlic, shallots, spring onions, chilli, ham, shrimps, carrot (cubes) and corn. Add a dash of sesame oil before serving.

Since you own a cybercafe, you may want to put up egg and ham toasted sandwich for sale. I am sure there will be takers and bring you some nice income.

What I would make with it would also be things like just a basic ham sandwich if you slice it thin enough. I also like to make scalloped potatoes and ham. I also make a ham and potatoeskillet similar to scalloped potatoes and ham but easier clean up. I also like making it with alfredo sauce, pasta, peas or broccoli. My husband would make a yummy omlet with it,I swear he is the king of omlets.

Send it here so the twins can fight over it.... When we had leftover ham, my mom made soup out of it, split pea mostly. I sometimes make bean soup or lentil too. Also, I used to make barbecued ham sandwiches...

We made bagel, egg, cheese, and ham sandwiches, ate left overs one night, and gave the bone to our Saint Bernard to eat. We usually don't have to worry about where the food will go.

If you have carrots and cabbage add it on, chopped them into small peices. Add also soy sauce but I add a little bit, depends on your taste.

I made a ham yesterday too-I made a cherry bourbon glaze that was really good! You can make ham sandwiches, and I think you could chop the ham up and mix it with vegetables to make a casserole or soup, or maybe put it in a slow cooker with some beans? I'm just trying to think of the top of my head.

Ham is something you can keep on the freezer for a long time and still taste great. I think you shouldn't force yourself to eat all of it at one time (that's not healthy). I think you can just freeze it until the next time you'd like to eat it. Have a great mylot experience ahead!

I think I will cut some up and freeze them in small bags. Do I have to add water to the ziploc freezer bags? Or just the ham itself? thanks for the help here.

I have the same problem every year LOL Good on the ham and eggs breakfast but still have lots of ham left? I make a stir fry with the diced ham, bean sprouts, spinach, thinly sliced celery, finely chopped onion, 1/2 clove crushed garlic, grated carrots, and stir fry all in a wok with 1 tablespoons of extra virgin olive olive oil. A rather healthy meal and put in as much ham as you like. Another idea is to cube the ham, refrigerate it. Meanwhile, slice green onions, celery, diced radishes (especially used for crunch and colour), grated broccoli flowers, add all this to cooked pasta, I prefer baby shells. Add 2 heaping tablespoons of ligh mayo (the one with olive oil is best) and 3 tablespoons of salad dressing(sundried tomato & basil). Add black pepper to taste. Mix well. Regerigerate at least 1 hour before serving. Toss before serving. Try these, they are favourites in our home. Let me know what you think. Hasta Luego

Ham sandwiches. Cut up cubes of ham and toss it in with some mac n cheese. stir fry some ham up with some rice. Toss a piece of ham in with your pea soup. Chop it up and mix with green beans. All kinds of stuff just experiment until it's all gone. Freeze some for a rainy day too.
